LADYTRON "Velocifero" dbl LP colored vinyl

Ladytron's latest album will see vinyl treatment from our friends at Cobraside. The album will be pressed on colored vinyl, but we have not yet heard what color. Truth be told, I only know of this band in name, but I have not heard anything. Any fans out there? I imagine they sound somewhere in between Le Tigre and the Gossip. Can anyone deny or confirm this?

This is a pre-order, we should have copies by the middle of August.

is Ladytron a joke to everyone else or that just a Chicago thing.

When I worked at a college radio station years ago it seemed like everyone here used Ladytron as a go to joke...everything from "it could be worse ...you could be in Ladytron" to: comparing bad bands using LT as the benchmark...

i enjoyed that whole album, "witching hour." but their aesthetic seems really put-on. like they're trying really hard to be dark. that's a big part of the reason why i'm not a huge fan of this new one.

I think they're better than 90% of what passes for good music nowadays. But if you don't like synthpop, then you'll hate them regardless.
