xjustinxschwierx
Hey, since there seems to be a bunch of Apocalypse Hoboken fans here, the Tongues LP is coming out soon...this band is Todd and Andy from AH, Erik from Joan of Arc, somebody in the band was also in Ghosts & Vodka too currently Todd is also in the House that Gloria Vanderbuilt & Andy is also in Mexican Cheerleader. Virgil will be getting these LPs in too, don't worry!!! I think they're all on pink vinyl. It's a pretty awesome record, a little weirder than Hoboken, but if you like Todd's vocals and...uhm...interesting lyrics...you'll love this band. I'll probably just be selling the records for them as I have a store and mailers and all that fun stuff and the guys in the band don't... and they have families and all that fun stuff. if you're curious (FYI they used to be called Storybook Funeral): www.myspace.com/storybookfuneralband

phenomenalcat
It's out and they have a new EP in the works as well that will be a 7", I believe. Hey Justin. I just joined up. Considering that I just bought three Dylan monos from Sundazed and the first three Bee Gees records as double LPs (boxed), I should probably peruse this site. No? Anyhow, regarding Tongues - The LPs look truly awesome. We had also pressed a thousand CDs, so if you buy the LP you also get the CD as a bonus. Not a CDr - the actual CD with artwork. We really just want people to check us out before we drop our next release on you. We aren't expecting to make big $$$$. Also, we are not merely doing a 7". We have 17 new songs recorded, and we will be releasing not another album, but 2 e.p.s. The sound of some of our new stuff is so varied (if you've heard "Microstars" you'll know what I mean) that we are splitting it into separate releases. It's all being mixed in March, so look for this around May. Again, we are looking to do something unique - not just colored vinyl, but possibly homemade covers in limited quantities. We are not a full-time touring band like Hoboken was, so we feel obligated to offer the best possible product at prices that don't reek of greed. I'm happy to see that people still enjoy the tangible pleasue of fresh vinyl. I dropped almost 300 bucks on a mono UK White Album (#48808) a few years back, so don't even talk to me about MP3s. Bonus Question: What's with this LP re-release of Die Kreuzen's "October File"? Does it actually contain tracks from the first album or was someone just lazy, posting the contents of the Touch & Go CD versions? phenomenalcat
yay! Hi Andy! You need to call me back!!! I just started a thread in the Buy/Sell/Trade section. All Chicago punk rock 7"s and whatnot. I've got tons of this stuff sitting in boxes.
