When Converge played Dallas, lighting hit the venue and the only electricity went to the bass and guitar amps, and they weren't even loud. They played "the saddest day" and the crowd took care of the lyrics. So much fun. I'm pretty sure it was the closest thing to a Converge Acoustic set. ohiopride Posted March 3, 2009 Share Posted March 3, 2009 the highlights for me were, coalesce, obviously, converge, neurosis, mastodon, u.s. christmas, kylesa, wolves in the throne room, my first time seeing boris. i walked around looking for merch, but it seemed that everything was outside. out of all the bands there, i think only 10-15 bands actually had merch visible. seriously, i looked everywhere. coalesce was the shit and converge, well, it's converge, do the math. mastodon maybe the best sounding band i have ever heard live. blown away by the sound, nothing louder than anything else, a great balance of sound. oh, it was my first time in atlanta, nice place.
