casey
And Tarantino produced Hero. So the fuck what? Well I think everyone else knew what I meant, haha. This dude just doesn't like me for some reason, haha. I would say Apatow is certainly a "genre" in away when it comes to comedies now. He doesn't like anyone but Dan. pjaicomo
Saw the movie. It was good, but not as good as I was hoping. I hope Rashida Jones gets more work. I like Dante too. Not just Dan.
pjaicomo
Riddle me this: Ok, let's say Apatow is a genre. If that is true, Seth Rogan acting in an adult comedy denotes this (along with Jason Segel, Jonah Hill, anyone from freaks and geeks, etc). So, that means Observe and Report is an "Apatow movie." O&R is exactly the same movie as Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Therefore, Paul Blart: Mall Cop is an "Apatow movie." QED

kirbypuckett
I think an Apatow movie has that dudes bonding vibe with a bit of crude humor here and there, but mainly decent jokes and overall a feel good story. It's not groundbreaking, but the films he's apart of or his main group of actors all sort of have that vibe.

It's like saying Big Lebowski and Kingpin are the same movie because they both feature bowling.

markage
I thought I Love You, Man was just okay. Some parts are hysterical but I felt they went too far with the awkwardness of Paul Rudd's character. After a while It just got redundant and annoying for me. It's still a pretty funny movie altogether.

kyle
I felt like the first half hour really dragged while everything got set up, then it was pretty entertaining Earlier this week Paul Rudd and Jason Segel were on Kevin and Bean, an LA radio morning show, and they actually mentioned that you can buy your tickets and walk in twenty minutes later and you won't miss anything funny. haha
