mcm1610
I dunno about the rest, but with H&R Block you can fill out all the shit, but print it out for free and mail it in.. So it basically just adds time to the filing but you don't have to pay.

I did Federal Free then just continued on with my state - it's pretty much built in.So I guess what I'm saying is that I don't really know if you can do just state, I've never looked into that. I went to kansas.gov or whatever the states website was, and was able to file state taxes for free. I'm sure where you live, they do the same thing. I hate when I do federal taxes online for free, but at the end, they say "oh you used this feature and that cost $50" so then I have to sign up for some other site and try again. mcm1610
The trick is to have an income that puts you under the poverty line, then its all free.
suburbanargyle
When I had a Maryland address, it was all done over the phone, so easy. Here in Texas there is no state tax, even easier!
divaface
I don't owe the state anything but everywhere I tried to file was trying to charge me $30 for a $0 return. I'll just print and mail. Thanks for the info guys.
