forgeagain Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Somehow or another my label site took a massive shit in the last few days and I have no idea how to go about fixing it. It was designed in a very strange way and I have no clue what needs to be done to put it back the way it was. Regardless, it was old, crappy, and difficult to manage. As a result, I am looking for someone to do something completely new. It certainly doesn't have to be anything complex - no flash, no stupid load times, etc. You can see what's still up now - www.forgeagainrecords.com/news.shtml www.forgeagainrecords.com/releases.shtml www.forgeagainrecords.com/artists.shtml www.forgeagainrecords.com/contact.shtml So you get an idea of what it was like. There were two bars on the top and side that are somehow completely gone now. I have no idea what happened, but they were TXT files that are linked in the page source. All of a sudden they no longer work. The files are still there but nothing is working. I honestly have no idea why. If anyone can tell me why that is I'd appreciate it, especially as a temporary fix, but either way I want a new site. I want something that I can update and edit fairly easily. It doesn't have to be a complicated blog-based thing. I can edit rudimentary HTML (I just suck at writing it). I don't need to incorporate a shopping cart or anything. I'm happy with paypal buttons (as you can see on my RELEASES page). Now, I don't have a ton of money to spend, but I will definitely pay for the work. If anyone out there is willing to work for some sort of combination of a modest amount of cash as well as free records, including test pressings, that's even better. Also, I'd be glad to throw in my personal legal services in trade, as I am a licensed attorney. melikecheese Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 If you want some thing easy to manage and update, try building your site on wordpress, you can still get someone to do a custom design and then you will have no problems doing new updates when your records come out.
