This album is so...dense. First listen=hate As Tall As Lions now. Second listen wasn't too much better. It's just boring. Their Christianity is coming through hard in their lyrics and sad to say the music has become a bit too Christian rock for my taste. Eh. I will keep giving it chances as I love the Self-Titled record...

Is there any secret to getting into this album? I LOVE everything they've done, but I just don't feel this one yet. Maybe I haven't really given it enough attention. Hmm.

I think the S/T is still their best work -- this album feels more laid back and has less attack than their previous material. It's a great chill-out record, though.

Haha! That will teach me to weigh in on a subject before I've paid proper attention to something. I've only listened to this twice while driving and I must not have listened proper. I did hear plenty of religious references and I guess I heard wrong! Still going to have to give this a serious listen soon, but I think I still like S/T better.

I love this band. I really wish I had the S/T. I also really wish they were still playing tiny little bars that I frequent, but alas, they are much too good for that kind of thing.
