psychoriley
I'm looking to pick a cleaning kit up. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to or not to get? I'm not wanting to spend a ton of money, but want something that works good. I was looking at the D4+ kit, because its cheap, but after looking at reviews it sounds like its complete shit. I need to know this as well. Texas guy, I use the d4 and it works pretty well, but it could work a LOT better. I've heard a few good things about this thing, so I might just try it. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT6012-Record-Cleaning-Kit/dp/B000EHYBRC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1250722090&sr=8-

psychoriley
OK, No dishwasher....I thought you were kidding about washin 'em and in the dish rack thing. Yeah I was really just wanting a good kit to get rid of any kinda finger prints, especially DUST and any other little shit that gets on the LP, then gets caght in the needle. geezfools
Really surprised Virgil hasn't gotten a kit or two for the store, unless he already does and I've missed them, but yeah, virgil, might check into this. Maybe even hook up with one of these people and relabel their shit with your name on it. Vinyl Collective Vinyl Juice or something lame like that, hah
benjo09
I've seen people use wood glue and it appears to work surprisingly well. Just cover the record in it, let it dry, then peel it off.
Just Another Tom
Yeah, i have heard the wood glue thing myself, never tried it though. When i first saw this on the internet i wondered if it would be ok for records, going to get some and try next time i place an order. http://www.firebox.com/product/2243/Cyber-Clean

mattstrike
MRC - I use the Zero Dust stylus cleaner. Just drop the needle on it, press lightly and lift: clean.

Damn this thing is about $70. But I found this while looking for it, Using "sticky Hands"?!! Anyone ever use these? They also talk of the wood glue on a thread. http://www.vinylengine.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19373

It seems pretty legit, and the feedback says nothing but good things. I'll order it and give you guys the scoop. This new discwasher blows and I might not be doing my records any good. psychoriley
Yeah it sounds good...But I'd say I certainly don't feel good about the idea with the wood glue. Besides I don't have anything in THAT need of a "cleaning". I'd be paranoid to do it to anything of real value. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=99837

psychoriley
Last forever is good...I just don't have the $$ right now, especially with all the shit Chuck Ragan has been releasing this last few weeks.
