cactusbot
I have been really obsessed with watching documentaries and listening to podcasts that have to do with paranormal activities, conspiracy theories, cryptozoology and and the weird stuff that is out there. Any one else into this kind of stuff? Post some good videos and such. I just watched a documentary called Don't Talk About The Weather on Chemtrails the other day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxNeoXkL0mM This YouTube user has a lot of Coast To Coast stuff. http://www.youtube.com/user/thewhiteopsdude Good podcasts: Mysterious Universe is finally back! http://mysteriousuniverse.org Earthfiles is great. Shorter 30 minute podcasts. Black Vault Radio Network podcasts are great. Older stuff but definitely worth listening to.

cosmonaut
^ I knew the sprinkler theory would make an appearance in this thread.
cactusbot
Out There is an older podcast that is pretty good. One of my favorite episodes from that is Episode 4. http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?i=1316981&id=88668547 It's about the whole Oak Island thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oak_Island One of the most interesting things ever. cactusbot
Yeah man. You obviously have to take everything with a grain of salt. It's just all really interesting to say the least.

nickheitman
thread lacks ghosts, talking trees, and S-Ws.
phantommaggot
There was a pretty crazy ghost thread a little while ago. It started out about dreams but turned into everyones paranormal experiences. Some of it was pretty intense too.
leerobert
Man I used to get into conspiracy theories wayyy to much when I was younger! I still love to talk about that shit & look it up now though.
silentgods
can we talk about the occult too? anybody else think Aleister Crowley was an interesting dude, but sort of a nutter? also if you've heard of Austin Osman Spare i am impressed. rise3905
i don't know so much about conspiracy theories, but that woman in the rainbow clip just needs to chill the fuck out. it's just a rainbow. i get her point but i think it's people like her that label people who think for themselves as nutters. she's just too fanatical. imo preaching at people doesn't help anything, just makes people want to ignore you more. aleister crowley has to be one of the most fascinating people. all this kind of stuff amazes me. silentgods, i read a little about austin osman spare - sounds pretty interesting. can anyone recommend some good reading about this? preferably in book form rather than on the net.. jawbroken
i watched some show on the history channel about ancient ufo visits etc, and it was so mind boggingly stupid that i couldn't stop watching. some of the fools they interviewed had no fucking clue what they were talking about. the maya stuff was the most frustrating. kurtmanner
I check www.rense.com regularly. It is news stories/opinion pieces all about politics, conspiracies (Zionist NWO, etc.) I don't believe 90-something% of it, but I think it's very interesting to read some of the extreme views people stick to so tightly. I also check cryptozoology.com daily because I find the field (from less extreme things up to bigfoot, lake monsters, etc.) intriguing. I used to go ghost hunting on a somewhat regular basis and we had some strange things happen. My Mom also lived in a haunted house from about age 15-18. There are some VERY interesting stories about that house.
rise3905
did anyone read this recently? http://www.bild.de/BILD/news/bild-english/world-news/2009/08/25/alien-baby-or-hoax/bizarre-creature-found-in-mexico-stumps-experts.html
desensitizedbyu
Holy shit, that is weird. Took him hours to drown it? It looks small enough to fit in my hand and light enough to be trapped very easily. I dunno...
Duff
i hate conspiracy theorists. they're allowed to have their opinion, but they shove it down your throat. they think they are right all the time and refuse to accept any kind of rebuttal. any kind of experiment, reasoning, or science thrown at them that all but dispells their conspiracy theory is wrong. they rarely have civil conversations about it, the conversation always ends with, "that doesn't disprove anything so i still think JFK was shot by the Loch Ness Monster on the grassy knoll." jayeffscene
Stuff like this fascinates me. I was bored at work yesterday reading about a bunch of different ones, and then today there's a thread about it???? Conspiracy, mother fuckers. destroyingthescene
Why is it that the design of so many of these conspiracy/paranormal sites looks like they haven't been updated since the mid 90's? Nothing adds credibility to your cause like spooky MIDI music playing in the background. no use for a username
silentgods
heres a book i read about the occult that is pretty thorough, its basically everything before 1970. and its about as readable as occult books go. http://www.amazon.com/Occult-Colin-Wilson/dp/1842931075/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252673378&sr=8-
