riddle350
I saw A New Found Glory play "Minor Threat" which was pretty awsome. My friend gave me a mix tape with a live song of Matt Pryor playing "Hey Ya" which is hands down one of the funniest things I've ever heard. bicyclepirate
Around 1984 the Damned put out a cover album under the alias, Naz Nomad and the Nightmares. Its mostly covers of late 60s garage bands. This album is absolutely amazing, and was what got me into garage in the first place. Plus the Damned are one of my favorite punk bands. Oh, and I was just listening to Pinhead Circus's cover of Night Ranger's Don't Tell Me You Love Me.

jhulud
Mighty Mighty Bosstones - What's At Stake (Slapshot) seeing this live is the best. especially in Boston. I can only imagine. I have seen the Bosstones a shitload of times whenever they played down here in Florida...I am hoping and praying that they re-unite and I will make a special trip to Boston of they play up there...since I have been going to Beantown at least once a year for the past 10 years to visit friends, it will be an even more special trip! skumbucket
But I absolutely hate The Dillinger Escape Plan's Plagiarism EP. Fuck, those covers were TERRIBLE! I was expecting awesomeness and I got lazy mock ups that sound awful. Come to Daddy is pretty badass though! seconded! i had such high hopes for the timberlake cover, and then they just played it straight. that was a baaaaaad idea... me first - the boxer (simon & garfunkel -- favourite ever) john mayer's "kid a" was mentioned, that one is actually badass. i'll have to nominate more when i think of them, i'm drawing a blank. skumbucket
Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love (The Supremes) it would probably have to be filed under "guilty pleasures"... ...but i really liked the dixie chicks version of that track. At one Bouncing Souls show they did Rebel Yell (Billy Idol)...that ruled.
