To be fair, these people (and all politicians in this country, really) are just reading from the script given to them by their major donors/overlords.

I think that's a bit of an overstatement and in some ways doesn't matter. If, for example, Rep X takes money from pro-environmental agencies and spurns coal I say, good for them.

Okay, so go curl up in a ball in the corner of your house and never come out because the big bad world can't be made better.

However, that's also why term limits are a necessity.

Well, I never said that things can't be changed for the better. I'm just pointing out that politicians in general tend to have a history of being easily corrupted.

Though you do make a good point about term limits being there for a reason.

Let's just agree to disagree.

I don't deny this, but some people choose to consistently get their backing from bigoted religious zealots and rape-endorsing money grubbing corporations, while other representatives choose to rep people without healthcare and environmentally friendly organizations.
