I think that's a bit of an overstatement and in some ways doesn't matter. If, for example, Rep X takes money from pro-environmental agencies and spurns coal I say, good for them.

Well, I never said that things can't be changed for the better. I'm just pointing out that politicians in general tend to have a history of being easily corrupted.

Though you do make a good point about term limits being there for a reason.

Sure, my only thought is its easier to be cynical about the stuff and do nothing than it is to be optimistic and try to change things. Senators and Reps desperately need to have term limits to curtail lobbying.

I don't deny this, but some people choose to consistently get their backing from bigoted religious zealots and rape-endorsing money grubbing corporations, while other representatives choose to rep people without healthcare and environmentally friendly organizations.
