aarondanger
So i want this 7" from a band that has been broken up for a while now. the label that put this record out stopped putting out records years ago. Thru my lurking skills i found the guy who ran the labels myspace page. I messaged him, and he wrote back saying he had copies of the 7" still. I wrote him back asking how much he wanted and where could i send him $$$. He has not written me back, but had read the message. He has not written back in a week. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I really want this record.
kurtmanner
In a situation like that I find it best to just send another message. I normally try to include something about how I hope I'm not being bothersome and that I'd just appreciate a reply. If someone doesn't have the decency to reply to that I either stop trying or I get a slight attitude, because sometimes that's all it takes for someone to get in gear on shit like that. steventangent
"I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, _________" I find that is the most polite way to let someone know you want a response.
xfedupx
This has happened to me a few times. I'll usually send a follow up email/message about a week or 2 after saying I never heard back, hope I'm not being annoying, etc etc. Usually that works
jhulud
I second what's been suggested so far. If you're polite and cordial in your follow-up, you're apt to (hopefully) get a response. If not, then guess the guy was a douche.
ronniethebear
I really just wanted to post about how much I love steventangent's avatar/quote. Yay Cohen Bros.
