sharkticon
Mine showed up two days ago. My mom dropped by my apartment yesterday and saw it out and did not approve of the cover. I guess she doesn't remember buying me the (edited) CD when I was in 8th grade

nic
so are there any major difference between the MTS version and the Universal version? i think somone said the Universal jacket has a gloss finish instead of matte. There are major differences. The first is MTS' pressing is awesome and Geffen's (Universal) pressing is not.Universal: -Glossy finish (? don't know for sure) -Only on white vinyl (not heavy 180g vinyl) -Parental Advisory label is printed on the cover. -No plastic sleeve to cradle the cardboard sleeve + vinyl -Not a gatefold (doesn't fold out like a book, just a traditional sleeve) -Label on the vinyl looks like the CD. MTS: -Matte finish -Various colors available, black 180g version available. -Comes cradled in a protective sleeve. -Parental Advisory is a sticker on the plastic protective sleeve. Not on the actual cover. -Gatefold, opens like a book. Very cool. -Unique label on vinyl.
Snaggle Von Swift
the Universal copies are gatefold.
nic
the Universal copies are gatefold. Are you sure? I don't believe they are. I'm pretty positive when I saw one in Hot Topic they were just a normal sleeve.

Snaggle Von Swift
and your explaination didn't really explain anything at all. I have the set of 4, and the Universal copy.. other than the obvious differences with the 180g copy, there are no major differences at all. Duff
and your explaination didn't really explain anything at all. Then you really are an idiot... I tried to make it as clear as possible... but it didn't offer anything in terms of useful knowledge or facts i, or most people here, didn't already know. and since someone immediately said one of your differences was wrong, what kind of explaination did you provide other than seeming like you're talking out of your ass. eroc
these records = prettttttty and RJ, way to be mentioned on every third page of AP this month. just read it on the flight to florida.
tylercorino
So should the universal press technically the 1st press or no?
weshallallbe
Don't think so. The MTS records were on their way to people a few weeks before the Universal pressing. I'd call it a 2nd or alternate pressing...but my guess is that this question will never be 100% answered.
