SH/VC 2009 Release List, What are your favorite re

As I look back on 2009, I feel like we had a pretty solid year with the releases we put out. We experienced some difficulties, but I think we still got around to putting out some great records. The year's release list would have looked even better had we been able to end the year with the new Tim Barry or new Look Mexico albums which was originally the plan. Those 2 releases will definitely make for a strong start of 2010. As you compile your year end best records' lists, take a gander at the releases we put out in 2009. This list will also be the basis of our 8th day of Xmas sales. Expect those shortly.

Not that I expect our releases to make your year end best list, I am curious which of our records would make your favorite Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective releases of 2009? What are your overall best of for 2009?

I am thinking about putting together some form to submit your tops of the year so we can post year end lists on our site.

Austin Lucas' Somebody Loves You. Definitely in my top 3 releases of the year. DTR's Bad at Breaking Up was great as well.

The Takers- Taker Easy is not only my favorite sh release this year, but my favorite release this year, that album is so fuckin good

Druglords, Sitting Army, American Rubicom and Sidekicks are my top picks for vinyl releases. All DTR related releases are my favorites of the year. Solid year for sure. The Red Scare partnership was awesome. Heres hoping the new sidekicks is pressed next year.

The Takers LP... Hands down.

I would say Kay Kay and PTM but neither of those actually came out this year, as both were represses.

Both the Takers and Austin Lucas were great albums, and still growing on me. The Drag stuff was great but collections don't count as "new" for me, though BABU does stand on it's own. Chad's record is gonna be a regular one on the playlist too. But the best album you guys put out this year had to be "Visitor's Band", all the best parts of Snodgrass and then Two Cow to boot!

My favorite LP was hands down The Takers, and my favorite 7" goes to Under The Influence Joey Cape/Mike Hale Split, Watch Me Bleed is amazing.
