six42intheam
saw this movie once about 5 years ago and i still feel dirty and sickened by some of the things i saw in it, but it was fucking great It's one of my best friends favorite films and while in college he would show it to everyone! Majority of people didnt make it to the end.
monk0nuggets
This movie was great! Miike is a nut. The movie itself is completely appalling, but symbolically it really is pretty beautiful. Crazy stuff.
axlrose
I just watched the trailer...what the fuck is that all about?
monk0nuggets
Its about a broken family. A strange visitor (Vistor Q) comes to stay at the house. While he is there incredibly fucked up things start to happen, but in the end these fucked up things bring the family back together.
xadamhudsonx
Miike is out there... in the best possible way. He really doesn't have any film that you don't end up confused, uncomfortable, or can't finish all the way through. I think that's why I enjoy him so much. monk0nuggets
There is an interview with Miike on the Imprint DVD where he talks about why he does so many strange movies and why so many. He basically said he'll do any movie as long as it is physically possible to make, financially possible and there is time in his schedule. Dude puts out several movies a year! Nutty stuff! xlovecolouredx
My favorite Miike film that I've seen is Audition.Any one seen The Happiness of the Katakuris? Really funny stuff! the happiness of the katakuris is pretty nut but really fun as you said. i also like izo and suikiyaki - the western django. and his couple last films such crows - zero 1 and crows - zero 2, i'm a fan of crows the manga, so i'm okay with those although nothing close to miike's classic pieces in those films.... selfreliable
I was wondering how Izo and Suikiyaki was and since Yu likes it, im going to have to see it. I love Miike's work and is the one director that I own more of than Dario Argento.
