I wonder if the Anthem repress is still a picture disc... if not, will definitely have to grab it.

I already own In With The Out Crowd LP from when they sold them on tour and those are a pretty good sounding pressing. Just the whole lack of any packaging what so ever has me ordering this pressing.

I don't think I've ever even seen pics of the IWTOC record. Park Ave CDs had the Anthem 7" set last time I was there, but it was like 35 bucks. Glad I held off on that one

The Anthem 7" set is pretty cool, I have it, but I think I only played it once or twice. I can grab some pic of IWTOC vinyl when I get a chance. Either later today or tomorrow morning at the latest.

Anthem is my second-favorite LTJ release (behind Hello Rockview). I don't get the hate towards it.

Now IWTOC, on the other hand, is a pretty large pile of doo-doo.

Yea, Anthem I have always loved. IWTOC on the other hand I originally hated it and thought it was terrible. Now that a little time has passed, I play it all the time. It's really grown on me over the couple years.

I thought Anthem (save for a few songs) was just a crappy album all around. After a string of 3 really, really good albums, they just shit out Anthem and I remember buying it the day it came out and how disappointed I was with it. I actually sold it back to the store I bought it from. "Escape From The A-Bomb House" is a great song though.

I was really disappointed with Anthem also. I never hated it, it has some really good songs, it was just a letdown overall. And I never understood why they rerecorded "Look What Happened" one album after it was originally released, I still like the B&B version better. In With... was just completely unmemorable (is that a word?) to me. I bought it right when it came out, listened to it a few times, and haven't since. I guess I started listening to them less in general, so I was more than content with their earlier records.

I don't know why everyone says their Anthem pic disc skips. The copy that I have, as well as the other copy I had when I owned 2, never skipped.

anthem is maybe one of my 10 favorite albums of all time . not one bad or remotely not amazing song on there . ghost of me and you and the last double song are classics .

That May 18th date sounds waaay too soon, considering this is the first and only source we've seen for it and it's just three days away. Maybe it was supposed to be a huge surprise?

The way I see it is that IWTOC and even Anthem to an extent were incredibly different from their other releases. It was an evolution of the band that some loved and some hated and ultimately what made them IMO try and revert back to their older style with GNV FLA. I personally love Anthem, but I can't say I was upset when GNV FLA came out. Its the LTJ I started listening to and hopefully the LTJ that sticks around.
