littlerobot
The official Twitter app is much better, to me, than Twidroid. I used the official one for a little while but I had a lot of issues trying to get a simple tweet or twitpic go through, so now I find myself back at Twitroid. I like the interface and usability of the official one a lot better than twitroid though.
pastepunk
I looooooove my Incredible. The touch keyboard is wonderful. As for apps, I only run a few, just the Weather Channel one, Gmote (to control my iTunes), Droidlight, Air Hockey EM, Live Scores, and Skyfire. My wife has the regular Droid and the Incredible is way, waaaay faster w/ the Snapdragon processor. cool. how does the itunes thing work? http://www.gmote.org/ That explains the software. It turns your computer into a media server and you can access your media files on the phone, which allows you to control commands.
martyk36
The official Twitter app is much better, to me, than Twidroid. twidroid hasn't let me down yet...of course I don't use twitter nearly as much as I use FB. my FB app has been acting up as of late, it this a known issue? pastepunk
With FB on Android, sometimes you'll need to clear your app's cache (it's the program management settings).

xxmartinxx
I've owned a Motorola Droid for a few weeks now. It's pretty rad. Lots of good free apps, just look in the app store when you get your phone.
tooclosetosee
My wife and I just ordered two incredibles as well. First smart phones for both of us. Verizon is doin a promotion now that if you are up for a new phone that you can get $100 mail in rebate. So we spent $400 on the two incredibles and will get $200 back in rebates. Pretty stoked about this. Does anybody have any reccomendations for music players for the phone?
mclz
I have a samsung moment and its my first smart phone too!!! Hell my first qwerty I have a couple fun apps:Dl these from the market... Task killer- this is super important bc the batt drain on droid phones is sick...it shows all the apps you have open and gives you the option to close them all at once. Most apps will stay running if you don't shut them down intentionally. Tweetcaster - for all your twitter needs Shazam- recognizes songs playing near the speaker...so awesome for when you can't figure out who sings something Notes- literally a sticky notepad for ramblings or memos FX camera- fun filter cam app...but you already take way better pics on your own lol Paper toss -throw balls of paper at a trashcan all day! Bonsai blast is a hella fun game/timewaster Facebook of course its kinda effed right now but they're working on it And I wrote all this from my phone enjoy lady! Welcome to 2010! sweet. def gonna look into some of those! time wasting is always one of my primary goals. in regard to advanced task killer, i've heard mixed things. a lot of people are now saying not to use it, cuz it messes up your phone in the longrun. read this: http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-using-a-task-killer-with-android/ I love Bonsai Blast also I just downloaded that Skyfire Browser...never heard of it before. xfedaykinx
i've got a Moto Droid and love it. here are my suggestions: games: Armored Strike [thinks Worms Armageddon] Jewels WordUp! Radiant Renverse Grid Droid Blocked Stone Twidroid [for twitter] Aldiko [ebook reader] Shazam Last.fm Wikidroid [best Wikipedia interface ive used so far] Gesture Search [allows you to swipe and search Apps, contacts and bookmarks] Handcent [so much better than the stock messaging app] Quick Settings [allows you to control most [all?] of the phones settings in one location] Google Goggles [more fun than useful, but still awesome] Astro [file manager] gStrings [guitar tuner] ringdroid [allows you to cut up mp3s on your phone to make ringtones and notifications]
steviex2shoes
First the HTC Incredible is a pretty sweet phone my first smart phone as well. So far these are the apps I use on a regular basis: Baseball Scores Batterytime Lite Bump(for transferring files with other droid users) c:geo (for Geocaching, on of the better apps I've used for it) Redbox Codes (gives you all the available redbox codes for free rentals) Digg app Google Earth Engadget app Fast Food App, locates fast food, and other food places in your area Mabilo Ringtones, has a pretty decent selection of premade ringtones for free OpenGPX (For paperless geocaching) QuickUninstaller (does what it says, cuts a few steps out of the process) Rev3Remote (most all of Revision3 shows are here to stream) Scanner Radio (Police, Fire, EMT scanners for your area and around the country) Spark (Xbox 360 app) Twitter for Android is pretty sweet, I don't really dig the built in Twitter app HTC has called peep. Thats what I got for now. When you're using the phone you may want to add a wifi, gps, blue tooth widget so you can easily turn them off and on to save battery power. xfedaykinx
does anyone know how to save apps to the SDcard? my phone keeps going low on space
steviex2shoes
i don't think you can just yet, but when the new OS update (Froyo) comes out it's supposed to allow you save apps to your sd card.
