derek123
I've seen that some people ship, and store their records outside of the jacket, in the plastic protective sleeve. I'm assuming this is because it prevents ring wear on the jacket. Correct? If so i'll probably start storing mine like this.
chiefwahoo
The main reason it is shipped outside of the sleeve is to avoid the record splitting the seams of the cover. Storing the record covers in plastic sleeves is the main way to avoid ring wear. I don't believe storing the record outside of the sleeve makes any difference but others will probably disagree. The other way ring wear occurs is when the records are stored together wat too tight.
