jasonskanks
I have been talking with some of the guys from Digger (the drummer is now my mailman) and they mentioned that they have somewhere between 2-4 songs that were recorded before they broke up. These songs havent been put out there and they were wondering if I'd be interested in releasing them. Would you be interested in them. Feel free to comment below. MattyIceyo
I voted yes but with a hesitation that I didnt like anything much after Monte Carlo. Maybe I am missing out and didn't pay as much attention, but monte carlo, powerbait, uncertain future was their peak, imo. have you heard the tracks? Bayside? (final twirps show) woodcock was maybe 3 miles north of meadville, out in the sticks. booked/saw some incredible shows at that spot. twirps were like the house band, but they were always so much fun. the bayside show was their last show, but at a lodge closer to meadville. remember that blizzard that night? 250 kids at that show, completely destroyed the lawn infront of the lodge, they told me to never call them again. xjustinxschwierx
I mean I guess it would be cool, but in all honesty probably not worth the time and money you'd put into it to get them released.
dethrock
I remember hearing them on the old Hopeless comps I had so I went and looked at them. They sang "I want my hat back," which is such a sweet song. The chances are probably pretty slim of this 7" coming out, but if it did I'd buy it. xjustinxschwierx
Don't come around my house, Unless you've got my hat... fun fact, that song is about Nolan from the Honor System
xjustinxschwierx
if you were to do this, I'd say you should do it on the cheap and tell the band the covers need to be black and white and photocopy-able...you should also post this question on the pop-punk messageboard....but also you should listen to the songs first before making the call. troymess
Great band! Jason, you need to make this happen! I'd love to hear any and all material from Digger that is post-"Keystone" I have everything else and enjoy it quite a bit. Particularly the "Powerbait" release. I miss the Meadville/Woodcock days...
