AlexH.
Well, the Twins have still got the good old Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome. At least until 2010 that is, where we'll likely move into Best Buy Ballpark or something just as crappy.

Guest scriptedrain
Advertising in sports, in general, pisses me off. I get why it's there ($$$), I just wish it wasn't. Our local baseball team has advertising every place imaginable. Soon ads will make their way to the offensive zones in hockey (they're already talking about ads on the goalies) and on goalposts in football and in the paint in basketball, etc. I remember when they were talking about putting Spider Man 2 ads on the fucking bases! Nothing is sacred any more.

xjustinxschwierx
As for goalie ads...has anyone seen a fucking soccer jersey in the past 5-10 years? There's usually a small embroidered crest of the teams on a corporate advertising jersey...

brentoage
also, the same thing happened here in toronto a few years ago. what was the sky dome (home of the blue jays and argo's) is now the rogers center. i don't know anyone that actually calls it that, though.
