twentytwo
Saw him in Chicago on Friday. Played the entire album. Especially loved The first hit, Awake in the dirt, and I used to be someone. He had to have played 25 songs or more. First time seeing him tonight. He plays with such passion and is such a humble guy. Also they had the black vinyl for $15 along with a kick ass screen print poster I got for $20.

Japes
The First Hit and everything after Sleepwalking Through My Life is pretty awesome.
llamason56
so everything but off-screen? i feel like that is the strongest track on the record
Japes
I don't know. I didn't like it too much, or Sleepwalking Through My Life. Strongest track on the album is probably I Used to Be Someone.

youmightbewrong
:)I'm pleased as punch. I just found out the KDev is playing Jerry's Pizza in Bakersfield on the 22nd. To my knowledge he's never played in that town before. Such a great venue too!
nihac
We have received the vinyl test pressings for Kevin Devine's "Between The Concrete & Clouds". They sound brilliant and have been approved! Unfortunately we are a little late with the pressing, but our pressing plant is the best in the world and we will receive the finished pressing next week. All paid orders will be shipped between 09/23 and 09/26, so we are afraid there is going to be a little delay. We apologize and thank you guys for being interested in this record! Guest
anyone find this album lacking? i feel like it never really goes anywhere
llamason56
it's definitely a lot different compared to his other stuff with all the synths and his voice never reaching that shout he has but i feel like it's just a really tight pop/folky/rock album. i personally listen to it on shuffle just because the pacing of the album doesn't really work that well for me so maybe that's why i enjoy it more? try that maybe
nihac
Want that test press bad Sorry, we don't sell test pressings. I know a lot of labels sell or even auction their test pressings, but we think it's a kind of dubious making profit by selling records that aren't made for being sold. It would be easy manufacturing 100 test pressings and making money by selling these as "collector's items" or "rarities", but that's not the way we work.
