brandnew
I'm making the 10+ hour drive from Charlotte NC to Atlantic City NJ for Brand New's New Year's Eve show. I'd love to add more to the trip if possible, so if anybody knows of any concert halls that I'd be driving somewhat close to along the way, I'd like to check out some other shows/venues. So basically, venues in Virginia, Maryland, southern Jersey? Or a good website that has a list of venues? Also, if anybody has any cheap parking tips for the Atlantic City HOB, or knows what the difference is in these GA ticket prices, that would be much appreciated info. (I tried calling the place, no help.) I'm guessing one price will be for floor and one for balcony, but which would be which? More expensive in balcony seats? http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/02004767F51B844E?artistid=821088&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60 Thanks for any help! jerseydave77
Parking isn't too bad in Atlantic City. I've never paid more than $10 but I wouldn't be surprised it it's jacked up for New Years. I will say this: park it in a garage, don't cheap out on this - AC has a bad car theft issue and a garage is the safest place. Not sure why the prices vary. The HOB is not that big but the sound in the balcony sucks in my opinion. Figure out which are floor tix and get them.
suchashorttime
if you're staying at a hotel / casino, parking is usually $5 or free. your best bet is to park where you're staying, get a cab to the HOB. as far as venues in between go, all md/dc venues. Black Cat, 9:30, The Ottobar, Recher Theater. Philly isn't too far out of the way if there's a show worth going to, plus shows in philly are the best. Once in a while, some hardcore dudes put together shows in Atlantic City (I think Shai Hulud just played there last week), though i don't know where or who does em. best of luck. enjoy your stay in beautiful atlantic city. smailtronic
Check out pollstar.com for show possibilities. Bear in mind that you may be able to catch a local show or two, but nobody tours between Christmas and New Year.
