silentgods
Just wondering how much/how long the process usually takes. I've got a pretty decent copy of Walking Dead 19 that is going for a lot on the ebay lately and was looking into getting it graded to increase the value, its in pretty tip top shape. but has anyone had any experience with it? patrick
They are going to nit pick the hell out of it. I have had sports cards graded before, and if you get a good grade, you lucked out. If anything less than a top grade, it will not bring in that much added value. Ken Griffey Jr. RC graded 9.5 = $100 More valuable card, graded 8.5 = $24 I am sure the market is different for comics, but make sure you look over EVERYTHING before you send it in, potentially wasting money. silentgods
Yeah, thats what i hear, the staples are pulling on the cover a little bit where its noticable to the naked eye, but other then that its a pristine book. i figured unless i'm sending in a book from god's collection i wasn't gonna get higher than a 7-8. patron
How much does it cost to get something like this done?

kurtz
I sent in some books to be graded 8 or 9 years ago. I don't remember how much it cost, but I do remember there was a minimum number of books to send or it was really expensive. And they do nitpick everything. Every book I sent came back a lower grade than I expected. One book in particular I thought was absolutely flawless and came back with something like a 9.2 grade. The part that bothered me the most though was that they give no explanation as to what grade the books got. It would have been nice to have a little insight into the grades that were given. jonnystorm777
I had a few graded last years took 2 months and i though my hulk 181 was at least a 6.o and came back at 1.5. Sucks they really pick at every flaw. Cost about $40 per comic
jeffbo
I had a spidey that was autographed by Stan the man lee at a Seattle con. They were sitting right there and I made the transaction in person. Cost about $75 after it was all said and done. The book is worth over $300 now. Cool story, right?
