ronniethebear
I don't know how many people here buy/collect older vinyl (60's/70's/80's), but I figured I'd give it a shot. Here's a list of some LPs I'm looking for, with pressing info/label: The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (mono, Capitol) The Beatles - Revolver (Parlophone, UK pressing) The Zombies - Begin Here (mono, Decca) The Zombies - s/t (feat. "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", mono, Parrot) The Zombies - Odessey And Oracle (mono, Date) The Jackson 5 - ABC (Motown) The Temptations - Meet The Temptations (Gordy) The Temptations - Gettin' Ready (Gordy) Big Star - #1 Record (Ardent) Big Star - Radio City (Ardent) If you have any of these, please let me know and we can set up a trade/sale. discoblackout
there's a few copies of pet sounds floating around on ebay, some mono some stereo. ain't cheap though. even 2nd/3rd hand you're still looking at $US40-50. been hanging out for pet sounds on vinyl for years, but its just so expensive
ronniethebear
Yeah, same. That's why I asked on here, in case somebody happened to have a copy that they didn't care about as much as I do.
oakland
I really want a copy of pet sounds, but I'm not sure I want the mono.
ronniethebear
I have the stereo version on 180 gram vinyl, which sounds amazing, but I also want the original mono mix because that's how it was intended to sound. Brian Wilson is deaf in one ear and worshipped Phil Spector, so he always mixed in mono.
ps
I had no idea that record (pet sounds) was worth that much.... My mother had that and a bunch of other shit she gave to a church fund raiser. She didn't even ask me if I wanted it either. Curses!! chiefwahoo
Might be worth a shot for as cheap as it is http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-BEACH-BOYS-PET-SOUNDS-ORING-MONO-ON-CAPITOL_W0QQitemZ300146131976QQihZ020QQcategoryZ306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
