markok
In the course of the PROG ROCK campagne something special will be presented in the domain of vinyl. We chose some special titles and pressed a first vinyl edition. The following releases are on the menue: September 17th SYMPHONY X - "The Damnation Game" SYMPHONY X - "The Divine Wings Of Tragedy" SYMPHONY X - "The Odyssey" DEVIN TOWNSEND - "Ocean Machine" DEVIN TOWNSEND - "Terria" September 24th AYREON - "Universal Migrator 1" AYREON - "Universal Migrator 2" AYREON - "The Human Equation" SPOCK'S BEARD - "The Light" PAIN OF SALVATION - "The Perfect Element Part I" All of them will be available in different colors. In each case one color is exclusively available at the InsideOut Webshop:http://www.insideoutshop.de/ Been waiting for these releases for a while. And it seems that these will not be manufactured by Back on Black this time, at least I hope so.
The Vool
SYMPHONY X - "The Odyssey" AYREON - "The Human Equation" SPOCK'S BEARD - "The Light" PAIN OF SALVATION - "The Perfect Element Part I" I think I just jizzed my pants!!! I'd be more than happy if they also release POS's "Remedy Lane" & "Entropia" as well as SB's "Snow", "Beware of Darkness" & "TKOS" on vinyl... :-O
piecemeal
Whoa, awesome news. Ocean Machine and any Ayreon on vinyl is a dream come true for me. 2000's prog FTW!
markok
I think I just jizzed my pants!!! I'd be more than happy if they also release POS's "Remedy Lane" & "Entropia" as well as SB's "Snow", "Beware of Darkness" & "TKOS" on vinyl... :-O Im sure they will release the other PoS records too. It would be weird to release only one.
theinkd
i'm definitely into those Devin releases!
morfiend
Awesome, I really want those 2 Devin LP's.
The Vool
BTW, do you think they'll remaster POS's TPE I?? Because the production sucks on that one...still one of my favorite records of all time!
markok
We can hope. All PoS records are released under InsideOut, so they (or the band) must have the master tapes somewhere or at least they should have all the rights to use them. Does anyone know, which PoS albums were recorded on tape and which digitally?
piecemeal
I recall spinning Perfect Element in high school, cool disc, I was confused by the vocals at first. "Be" is probably my favorite from them, a very unique album, which is hard within that genre sometimes.
piecemeal
Preorders are up: http://www.insideoutshop.de/Category/ProgRocks/135 Anyone know of stateside retailers that will be getting these? My only thought is CMDistro, I'm sending them an e-mail right now.
superrocker47
I pre-ordered Spock's Beard The Light since I really love that album. Got the exclusive shop green so I'm pretty pumped. definitely not cheap though, at least not compared to what I'm used to
piecemeal
CM said they have no plans to get these, but they did send a note to one of their buyers. Might just have to ebay, fuck I really want all of these releases, definitely Ayreon and DT.
The Vool
Probably gonna buy SB's THE LIGHT since I love all the SB records from the Neal Morse era! But I'm pretty pissed that POS' The Perfect Element pt.I isn't listed anymore... ?!
markok
They are probably fixing something, Ayreon is gone too. The second batch was listed wrongly in the first place - different prices, but all records had the same description and colour.
theinkd
well i wish the site worked...
The Vool
Horrible label with too good bands anyways...
markok
wat?
piecemeal
It looks like they may have jumped the gun on the Ayreon and PoS vinyl. Arjen says on his facebook that the Human Equation vinyl is "coming soon, more later." That was today. They're no longer listed on the shopping page or the main Prog Rock banner. In other news, GoHastings has the PoS disc and The Light for preorder...$30 though.
The Vool
Well, suits the label...
markok
My copies were shipped couple of days ago. Waiting
piecemeal
http://www.cmdistro..../Devin_Townsend CMDistro has the DT records listed, they say out of stock but I'm assuming that's because the preorder isn't open yet. And those prices! EDIT: They also have every other vinyl in this series listed, all at $13.60. They're all currently listed as sold out (which I'm sure will change). The Vool
I wonder about two things: 1) why the hell do the records costs €20 at the label and only $13.60 (for a 2xLP!!!) at a distro? 2) why is POS' "TPE pt.I" listed on cmdistro? markok
Little help, guys. Has anyone had any contact with the Inside Out shop ([email protected]) recently (this week)? They replied to me last week once but now they seem to be completely absent. I had some damaged item problems and I want to know if they are just ignoring me or what. Thanks! chubbler108
CM Distro has the Devin Townsend records in stock for $16 each! HURRY!
piecemeal
Ordered. Thanks for the heads up. I also ordered the Symphony X records, passed on the Spock's Beard, shipping is $4 per unit plus $2 base fee, then shit ton of sales tax. 4 records came out to just under $90.
