  1. So, he hasn't listened to it yet but says it's probably not as good as the Grundman pressings. Good unboxing though.
  2. Amazon and Target must’ve received a ton since they’re still selling them.
  3. I gave in and ordered a copy since I wanted the 7”. Disappointed that the the only local shop I could find that had it was “in store only”, which is dumb since it’s not some limited RSD release or something.
  4. I think the whole record has no filler. It did take a couple of listens to appreciate the 2nd half though but now I love it, the last 3 tracks are pretty epic, they may grow on the patient listener.
  5. I agree that the production could be better, it sounds a little flat to my ears, not enough to really bug me though. I like the whole album, which surprises me since it's nearly 90 minutes but I don't skip any tracks. I don't know if any of the songs are "classics" just yet but I keep coming back for more listens, which I hadn't done very often with the previous 3 albums.
  6. Received the clear indie variant in the mail yesterday. Besides the shitty inner sleeves (poly and paper? wtf?) the vinyl sound great. I may upgrade to the deluxe eventually since I really like this album a lot.
  7. Ordered one from a local shop today and it’s already been shipped. I think most people shouldn’t have a problem getting one of indie reds tomorrow.
  8. It’s out, what do you guys think? I’m getting some Boggy Depot vibes, which is what I was hoping for.
  9. This is their best work since CTS, awesome album. I just ordered the clear vinyl, anyone pick it up yesterday? How does it sound?
  10. I’ve heard the new album and it’s some of Toby‘s best work yet. I loved Blasphemy but this might be on another level, it’s definitely heavier and more complex. Check out this interview Toby did with JWW (ex Agalloch). Sounds like we may not see Kayo Dot tour again. https://hatepod.podbean.com/e/episode-56-toby-driver-kayo-dot-alora-crucible-vaura/
  11. Glad their music is staying in print but I agree with those that think we’ll see no new shows or music.
  12. Received my box set the other day. The packaging was very barebones so I’m surprised it wasn’t damaged. I’m impressed with how everything turned out but haven’t given it a listen yet.
  13. The /100 edition last week sold out in less then a minute. They definitely seem to be getting pricier and pricier though.
  14. Yes, I wasn’t into that album when it came out but rediscovered it after her release with Thou. Great album.
  15. Yeah, Crack the Skye was brilliant but they've been pretty hit and miss since. I'll give the album a listen first before considering a purchase.
  16. I tried earlier to grab one but missed out. My wallet is happy at least.
  17. I snagged the revolver, I’ve enjoyed the purchases I’ve had with them and they pack well.
  18. Here it is! The 25th Anniversary Re-issue of October Rust! 3 different versions and new merch too! The standard Green one, the Colored vinyl and the exclusive Revolver version. This will be released on Oct 29th and pre-orders are live now! store.typeonegative.net https://shop.runoutgroovevinyl.com/october-rust-25th-anniversary-edition-standard-green-and-black-edition.html https://shop.runoutgroovevinyl.com/october-rust-25th-anniversary-edition-d2c-voodoo-edition.html https://shop.revolvermag.com/products/type-o-negative-october-rust-clear-with-orange-mix-2lp-only-1000-made SOLD OUT
  19. Wow, awesome increase. I was promoted back in January and I thought my 25K raise was good! I don't even look at my record budget, as long as I continue to pay my bills and stash money away in my 401K, I'm good. With that said, I'm putting my foot down on this Nothing record since the Don't Look For Light... release was already crazy expensive.
  20. I’m actually quite the opposite. Bergtatt is the only black metal release I revisit a lot. I love a lot of the stuff from William Blake - Shadows of the Sun, especially the releases that are vocal heavy. With Messe I lost a little interest but I’m a big fan of the new synth pop direction on Assassination and Flowers of Evil. Whatever Ulver does though is usually at the very least interesting.
  21. This just came out today and I gave it a listen on Amazon Music. It's an interesting jam for sure but some of the tracks just dragged on too long to hold my attention. I do think this is better than Drone Activities though but similar vibes.
  22. Still up, apparently fans aren’t as into acoustic Melvins.
