Sherwood RX-4109 (Receiver) Suddenly Not Working

Recommended Posts

My wife moved my table and all my gear around without my help.

Now all of a sudden my receiver magically doesn't work anymore. I can still turn it on and toggle from different inputs like Phono, Aux, Tape, but no sound it pushed to the speakers no matter what device I play through it. This wasn't a super expensive receiver and I'm sure someone will bring that up, but if there is a way I can fix this would anyone happen to know what could have caused it and what I can do to fix it?

Are you sure that the A/B speaker button didn't get unselected during the move? Also, on some receivers, selecting the B speakers when there aren't any hooked up can cut out the A speakers.

Haha, that was it! I figured it was screwed because when I plugged headphones into it I could head audio but it was very very poor quality. Didn't cross my mind to check those switches. Thanks dude!

Now lets just hope we didn't jump to conclusions and go off on the wifey about how she shouldn't have touched your stuff. :D
