Didn't mean to assume, but I don't hear the resemblance at all (which is why I assumed that this meant you didn't have much exposure to female vocalists outside of pop). Her melodic bits are pretty much straight forward POP/metal. I don't hear women singing like that in Blue Cross, Punch or Masshysteri.
