500Homeruns
Do you think there is any chance that Fat Wreck will ever release a Me First & The Gimme Gimmes vinyl box set? I would love it!
Guest
There's probably some sort of weird copyright stuff that would keep this from happening.

slinch
Oh, I'd definitely love this. For some reason I only have one of their albums on vinyl.

xxbyaaahxx
Given how the TBR and NOFX sets were done, I am pretty sure this could be done at some point. They already have the licensing agreement for the covers, so it would really just come down to the labels figuring out distribution and such. Could do it where each as their own variant or something along those lines.
500Homeruns
I'm pretty sure everything they ever did was released on Fat Wreck Chords.
jase
I'm pretty sure everything they ever did was released on Fat Wreck Chords. Nope. Epitaph, SideOneDummy, kung fu, hopeless, lookout amongst a few others have put out MFATGG stuff in the past
sergeantscruffy
Nope. Epitaph, SideOneDummy, kung fu, hopeless, lookout amongst a few others have put out MFATGG stuff in the past Honest Don's, Alternative Tentacles, Better Youth Organization, Pizza of Death, Nitro, and Jade Tree as well. Seriously, it's a LOT of fucking labels!
mmhmm
I own all of their records on vinyl and I bought them all through Fat Wreck's store, so....yeah, sure seems like they could do a box set pretty easily. Hell, all they'd have to do is put all of them in a box and there you'd have it.
500Homeruns
Everything they did could easily be released by Fat. In fact, most of the singles released by other labels are for sale on the Fat website.
sirrichardrichard
You are talking about two different things. all the LPs were released on Fat. all of the 7"s, with the exception of "Square dance series", Elton, and Denver, were released on labels other than Fat/Honest Don's. There was a "bowling bag" box set that included the first 10 7" along with the bonus 7" called "Bob" in 2002ish. They have released 10+ more 7" since then
konk
But if they were compiled on 3 LPs...
500Homeruns
I just want them to figure it out and give me everything they ever recorded in one package. After they do that, set a price and I will order it. Extras or unreleased stuff would be great, but it wouldn't be necessary for me to lay my hard earned cash down. jerseypride
This won't happen simply because the demand would be oh so very low.
500Homeruns
Oh it will happen, but only after I start buying the individual albums and adding them to my collection. bathroommonkey
xxbyaaahxx
This won't happen simply because the demand would be oh so very low. Are you kidding?! The demand would be as high as the NOFX boxes. Gimme's stuff goes as quick as its posted. With the influx of new vinyl collectors, it would get eaten up fast, plus all the hardcores who need to own every variant would be all over it too. mmhmm
This won't happen simply because the demand would be oh so very low. lol I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. Are you kidding?! The demand would be as high as the NOFX boxes. Gimme's stuff goes as quick as its posted. sergeantscruffy
But if they were compiled on 3 LPs... The b-sdies of all of the early singles are actually already compiled on Have Another Ball, so it would only need to be a 2xLP tops. konk
