Vinyl shopping in Dubai, UAE

I am spending some time in Dubai for a couple of weeks. searching around for a record store and so far the only spot I have found is a Virgin Mega Store in Emerates mall.  

 

a large selection of Music On Vinyl stuff.  Snagged up the Billy Talent record yesterday.

outside of that, the selection was pretty similar to stuff you would find in a Hot Topic / chain record store (i.e. lots of Beatles, AC/DC, Hendrix,)

 

Today I found out that last week was a big vinyl swap meet / trade gathering of some kind.  kind of sad I missed it.  It was called THIS IS VINYL.

 

anyway... thought this was interesting enough to share.

the wifey and i are going to kenya and were talking about going to Dubai, we elected to do it another time.  cool place.

this was all i found on the vinyl fair in dubai.  missed it by a couple of days.  

 

Dubai is amazing.  everything is new and clean and the best of the best... but it is VERY VERY expensive. 

if you can get past being a tight wad its smooth sailing from there.

 

shopping, fine dinning, lots of fun beach stuff to do.
