  1. Worse. In my opinion, at least. FOB is basically my favorite band, and have been for years. But, I can't help but treat this album like it's just a filler between SRAR and whatever's next (and hopefully better.) It just feels so mismatched and slapped together without much thought. Granted, it was only recorded in 3 weeks... and it unfortunately shows. The songwriting and production feels kinda lazy like they just phoned it in. Songs like Jet Pack Blues, Fourth of July, Favorite Record, and Immortals are some of the cheesiest FOB songs yet. They're grating to listen to. AB/AP, Uma Thurman, Twin Skeleton's and Irresistible are by far the strongest tracks on it. Again, just my opinion.
  2. Yay! Excited for this. I'm laughing though because under the thread for MMHMM people were saying Five Score would never be pressed since it apparently didn't sell well. Ha!
  3. Same. Recently I was watching "Thriller" from the Live In Phoenix DVD on YouTube... and a kid commented "wait.... I thought this was gonna be The Phoenix??? Why do they look different? What song is this?" Oh, god. It's interesting to me because Fall Out Boy are kinda at the same point in their career that Green Day was at when they returned with American Idiot. I became a fan of Green Day at that time, and wasn't really aware of their past works since I was young then. It feels like the same thing all over again. FOB have been around for about 14 years now, there are kids out there who are just discovering them. Crazy.
  4. I'm probably gonna pass on this vinyl release... I don't love the record enough. And, this is coming from a huge Fall Out Boy fan. I completely agree about the middle of the album blending together. Those are the weakest songs, imo. "Jet Pack Blues" "Fourth Of July" and "Favorite Record" ...Probably some of the cheesiest songs FOB have ever written, sadly. :\ I hated the title track when I first heard it, but it's grown on me. "Uma Thurman" is probably the song that's grown on me the most. Love it, so catchy. The only song I loved immediately was "Twin Skeletons" but I haven't seen much love for that track. I think people forget about it since it's the closer. But, it's definitely my favorite! (Although bits are super similar to Panic!'s "Miss Jackson" and "Let's Kill Tonight." Not a bad thing, though.) And, I think it's safe to say everyone is over "Centuries." The guys released an apology to the world for the song being played way too much at sporting events. Hahaha.
  5. Glad I checked this thread! Just ordered mine!! I'm excited!! Ordered mine through PayPal.. but, the total ended up being $30.50! So, I think I'm okay...
  6. That is pretty tame. Haha, the 50 Cent one was amusingly annoying though...
  7. ...oh, and thank you! I think I might have taken their antics a little too seriously though. Which probably didn't help my case, lol. Well, I guess I had nothing to compare it to. Haha. But, it's somehow just embarrassing when strangers band together and make fun of your lack of knowledge on a topic, ahah. Yeah, from what I heard it can be much worse... I can't imagine... Just, why?! Honestly...
  8. I think I've already experienced my fair share of newbie "hazing" lol
  9. Thanks to those of you who have brought it back on topic, lol. It really is too easy to end up god knows where in conversation on this website...
  10. HOW DO YOU LOCK A THREAD? BECAUSE IF I COULD I WOULD HAVE DONE IT LIKE, 15 POSTS AGO
  11. Considering I bought it when I was uninformed, and this isn't a huge hobby of mine.. As long as I'm just playing the records I could easily pick up another copy of down the road.. I'm sadly okay with it at the moment, tbh.
  12. I was so excitedly nervous on the release day, I literally sat there waiting with my credit card on the Hot Topic website and ordered it as soon as I could, lol. It was around Christmas 2012 so even if it was more than $21 at the time.. I probably would've splurged a little as a gift to myself, haha. And, yeah. As far as being in THIS community... It's kinda embarrassing to say I have a Crosley, haha. But, outside of here would it be a sin to say I don't mind it that much right now? I mean, since hooking up a small speaker to it.. it actually has more bass, can get pretty loud, sounds pretty clear and fits well in my small room. Aside from what I now know the player does to records (I try not to think about that...) It would be a slightly decent entry-level player for someone with a few records. (Like, myself..)
  13. My intelligence is feeling slightly insulted right now, lol. Of course I know that Hot Topic/Fueled By Ramen didn't release a 24k gold-plated record of a Panic! At The Disco album, that you wouldn't even be able to play, for $21. That's actually kinda hilarious, omg. I know that when I first started becoming interested in vinyl, I wasn't even aware that variants other than black even existed. haha. So, that being said. If I took some time to frame it all nice in a plaque sort of fashion and someone with limited knowledge took a look at it, they might be tricked into thinking it could be worth something.
