that´s a watermelon, cherry smash is more like a clear red with lots of black action in it
-
I saw one in a recordstore last week, but I didn´t buy it as the sleeve is unbelievable ugly I might check twice next time I´m there. PS: it was the silver splatter version

that´s a great idea. And the icons are marvellous!!!

The Weakerthans - Reunion Tour
frank replied to steventangent's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I´ve seen them in two different stores, all came shrinked. Plus the shop where I bought my copy is a small punkrock recordstore, not a big chain. Most of his stuff is unsealed. I think Euro Epitaph/Burning Heart just started shrinkwrapping them some time ago, I remember as well the older releases weren´t shrinked. But the last two european Bad Religion LPs also came shrinkwrapped. I don´t see too much sense in shrinkwrapping records anyway. Unsealed makes it easier to check for color wax and the shrinkwrap doesn´t provide much protection to the sleeves at all. So why do companies seal vinyl? Anyway, this is absolute nerd talk. We better stop it -

yeah, I know it´s unusual but the record store had like 8 copies of the record, all shrinkwrapped. Epitaph Europe/Burning Heart stuff allways comes shrinkwrapped -

yeah, they did. Actually the record came shrinkwrapped and they could have easily placed it on there -

so I picked up the european Burning Heart Weakerthans vinyl today, here some pix for you: features: heavy, non-glossy gatefoldsleeve, printed heavy innersleeve, 150gr. wax, mp3 download coupon the mp3 download is from the epitaph.com site, so I assume the US press will have it as well -
American Steel - Destroy Their Future Pre-Order
frank replied to matt's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yeah, go a head and call me an idiot. i guess i should read things correctly. my bad you´re wellcome. But seriously, you were right. From the Fat site: "We posted the artwork for the brand new NOFX live record that is coming out on Nov. 20th! We’ll have more info for you soon but it’s going to be a 24 song CD / double LP. We are even going to put a CD insert inside the LP so you get both formats. What a deal! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to shove an LP into a CD case so you’re out of luck if you just buy the CD. Blame science." -

I think they mean you´ll get the CD booklet with the vinyl, not the CD itself -
The Weakerthans - Reunion Tour

I don´t think there are big differences. Maybe the gatefold sleeve or the mp3 download. The differences I noticed in the past between Epitaph US and Epitaph Euro/Burning Heart -The Euro releases always have printed cardboard innersleeves instead of an insert -most of the stuff was pressed on heavy 180gr vinyl, for example the last Bad Religion records and I think also Reconstruction site... But these differences are marginal, plus by the time you receive the record from Europe, the US vinyl might be out as well I might pick up a copy today, if so, I´ll post pix -

I posted it in the general section allready, but for those who didn´t read it: The european vinyl version of Reunion Tour came out last friday, it comes in a nice thick gatefold sleeve, along with a coupon of a free mp3 download of the whole album. It´s been released by Burning Heart records. For those of you who can´t wait for the US version, there are some copies on german ebay allready -
Oh, the packaging? lol I thought the original post was about the production of the record. I'll wait till the vinyl is released. For now I can handle having it on my iPod only. I saw the european vinyl version on Burning Heart in a shop yesterday. Comes in a nice gatefoldsleeve plus a coupon for a free mp3 download of the album

so I went to my local punkrock record store today and was quite surprised to find this: It´s funny that they already have it in record stores (even the colored wax) while I´m still waiting on my preorder But I gotta say, it´s a damm rad beautifull package, you´ll love it...

Stupid Prices people pay on Ebay thread
frank replied to mrc's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
if you do a proper packing in a record mailer it´s 8 EUR by airmail letter post. If you just sandwitch it between two slices of cardboard and tape it it might work out for 4 EUR (if it doesn´t weight more than 100gr.) German postal service is armtheft robbery.... -

omg, you can still find them everywhere here for about 5 Euros. Even my local record store still has it cheap. -
Against Me question.. help needed
frank replied to adambomb's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
my guess is 13th press purple 550, they look more grey than purple with lots of splatter in it. The 11th press grey is more a flat tan color with hardly any splatter at all. you can check out all colors here: http://www.nofxwiki.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6674&start=0 -
Which purple "No Division" is this?
