  1. Oh well. It appears I've forgotten how to use the internet. At any rate, if anyone here has any games they'd like to get rid of - particularly that of a star wars, indiana jones or superhero nature - get at me. Thanks.
  2. Whoops! Sorry, kurtz. I just had the colors photographed with the sleeves that way because it looks nicer. The red vinyl was supposed to be shot with the "Second" label facing up so as to match the sleeve... Didn't happen that way.
  3. kurtz - no, they're both on one lp - first on side a, second on side b. no etchings, but a lot of art.
  4. First & Second LP available for order now! See other thread or check out the Hyperrealist home page...
  5. BARONESS "First & Second" LP! Here it is at long last! The first six songs recorded by metal giants BARONESS. Six years ago Baroness played their first show here in Savannah and we immediately approached them about doing a record. A year later we began the next one, another EP, nothing too big just yet. As it turned out, that was probably the perfect plan. Those first six songs drew an incredible amount of attention to them and were the only releases they were supporting on their first tour outside of North America. In those six short years, this band has gone from the basement to the arena and have grown and matured as musicians to create some of the most tastefully and intelligently written heavy music of recent decades. We can't express how happy we are to have played a small role in this band's history. After several pressings of the original EP releases and a little time spent out of print, here they are released together on one LP - remixed, remastered and better than ever. The art and packaging here is very similar to the CD reissue that came out last year with a gatefold jacket, matte varnish and foil stamps. 2,000 copies were pressed in this pressing - 1,000 black, 500 opaque red and 500 olive green. These are sitting at the pressing plant this very moment, ready to leave the docks and will be arriving here in just days. You can preorder it now and it will ship out as soon as it arrives. Order now from our homepage: http://www.hyperrealist.com We have also made the BLACK TUSK "Passage Through Purgatory" signed/numbered LPs and THOU / CITT split LPs available on the home page as well. Only a few left of each! Upcoming releases: BLACK TUSK / ASG "Low Country" split 10" BLACK TUSK "The Fallen Kingdom" 12" WHITE DRESS 12"/CD IABHORHER 12" (Reissue of classic 7" and comp tracks!) and more to be announced soon...
  6. gumbercules - i have a handful in my personal stash, but if i owe that guy one, i owe that guy one. i may have one in an unclaimed/returned box that's a bit dinged up from travelling round trip to Europe...?? hit me up in a PM.
  7. Hey, folks. Get ready. euzebiusz6000 - Didn't get your Red Album? PM me, we'll get you sorted.
  8. "Gumbercules?! I love that guy!" So good. rabagast - All of our pressing info used to be on the old website before it changed to the one we have now. I'll make sure all of that info goes on the new site when its launched. As for Baroness, the numbers went like this... First - first pressing 500 black / 500 smoke grey second pressing 500 black / 500 brown Second - first pressing 1,000 black second pressing 500 black / 500 clear You can tell the pressings of First apart by the insert. As I'd said earlier, the first pressing had a one color insert, the second had a two color insert. The Two pressings of Second are identical in packaging. There was going to be a change made to the jacket, but it didn't happen. The CD formats of each (in case anyone is really interested) both went through three pressings, again with First changing each time, Second staying the same. clocascio - The preorders didn't go up - there will still be a preorder offered for a short time, but not this week. I'm out of town briefly and will put them up sometime in the next week or so. I'll definitely give a heads up here before I do.
  9. this reissue is remixed and remastered. "second" didn't get much done to it, but "first" has a much better mix this time around.
  10. you can tell by the insert. first press had a one color insert - a sort of purple-ish black. the second press had a two color insert - brown and yellow.
  11. Maybe I'll put them up friday and let it run til sunday.
  12. Maybe I'll start preorders this week then. The record is just about done.
  13. Exactly. I'm waiting on that myself. And yeah, we're putting it out. There's a reason why our mailorder is handled by Robo and Shirtkiller, we've just not got the time or manpower to handle large volumes of mailorder at the moment (which is also why I would only offer preorders for a short time. I do NOT want to have to pack and ship 1,000 orders in a week again. Tends to get messy.)
  14. evenscore - that is from the second pressing. first press was 500 black / 500 smoke grey. second pressing was 500 black / 500 brown.
  15. kurtz - a lot of people feel that way. i think they get better with every record.
  16. The "First & Second" LP is almost done. All of the print is done and at the plant, we're just waiting on it to press and hit the dock. I would say in the next three weeks it will be available. There will be 2,000 copies pressed in the first pressing - 1,000 black, 500 orange, 500 green. It is packaged in a gatefold jacket with the same varnishes and foil used on the CD reissue. I will post pictures as soon as I have some and will announce it before it goes on sale. It will be available on the same date directly from us or from our usual mailorder folks - Robotic Empire and Shirtkiller. We're tossing around the idea of taking just a handful of preorders, only open for a day or two, before the record ships and entering everyone who orders into a drawing for a test pressing... Thoughts?
  17. Ordering vinyl from Amazon seems to be a gamble. Sometimes I get LPs double boxed, sometimes I get them crammed diagonally in a box 1/2" too small... I don't trust it, but with every record shop in the region shutting down I've been taking my chances with them.

  19. I stopped using foods with corn syrup years ago. The body doesn't metabolize corn syrup the way it does cane sugar. It can't really do anything with it except turn it to fat. The rise in obesity and diabetes in young children is evidence enough of how horrible this shit is for you and I can't believe they actually air these commercials on television defending it (and people actually believe it). There are millions of articles out there on the subject. Here are a couple worth reading. http://www.westonaprice.org/modernfood/highfructose.html http://www.naturalnews.com/009333.html
  20. We've got a copy of the Red Album test pressing for sale on eBay right now. Only the second copy to be made available to anyone outside of the band... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=160320928835
  21. Shirtkiller will have more of these again tomorrow. It is also available from 20 Buck Spin.
  22. Ohio Pride - Nice! What did you think of the fest? Were you at the show friday night at Criminal?
