I don't get the whole Cassette resurgence thing. To each their own though.

In my case it's not even a guy that works at my funeral home that always does this to me. He's at an affiliated funeral home and when people live over closer to us he doesn't tell us, he just drops off or sends stuff for us to do.  It's super frustrating.
His paperwork for cremations is never correct either and we have to force him to fix it.

anyone here ever read The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind? When I was about 14 or so I decided to grab one at Barnes n Nobles and I was hooked, I read all 11 in about a month and a half. It's a very adult fantasy series, has your magic, sex, swords, all that. They made a tv series called Legend of the Seeker, but I never got into it. But if anyone is into reading heavy duty fantasy like ASOIAF, I highly recommened Sword of Truth.

It's not like if you play your record on it a few times it'll disintegrate into plastic dust, it's more of a subtle change that will affect the grooves in your record and damage them over time. Just look on craigslist if you can't afford a brand new turntable, I'm sure there are many suitable ones for a low cost. And I know what you mean about the sound not NEEDING to be hifi right now. I'm kind of in the same spot. Just no money to buy a good setup.
