Moving: What to do about my records?
Kever Wevers replied to sugarballs's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Interesting idea with the mcdonalds boxes. Haha. I didn't even think of how heavy they'll be though... They haven't moved since I started collecting. Fortunately, I only have like 115 records. So, hopefully it's not too rough! -
Moving: What to do about my records?

Thanks for the advice! I have a ton of vinyl mailers so, I'll probably cut them up and put them in the boxes. I think the most important thing will be to make it tight so they won't move. Thanks, again! -
Moving: What to do about my records?
Kever Wevers replied to sugarballs's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
So, I'm moving three hours away in a few days and obviously wish to bring my collection. Are there any things I should do to keep them safe? I'd hate to get there and have them all seem split to hell. I currently have them in two 13'x13'x13' wooden crates. I was thinking of just wrapping them all in towels to keep them from sliding around. Think that'll be fine for the drive? I'm moving to Phoenix so, they'll be the first things out of the car to avoid the heat. Any advice or, suggestions is appreciated! Thanks! -
Hey! So, this sold out before I was able to snag a copy. I've been trying to keep up with the ones being posted on the bay, but they are already up there in eBay prices. If someone could sell me one, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

There's perks about living in Arizona. I'm 3 hours away from Hello Merch in Phoenix so, I got mine on the 11th! I do like it, but it'll never live up to Somewhere... Anyways, I got the swirl but I wanna see the solid blue! Can someone post a picture please? -
The Dear Hunter "Acts I, II, & III" Represses

Well, you're absolutely right about that. I'd choose Migrant on repeat over most shit on the radio any day.- 312 replies

The Dear Hunter "Acts I, II, & III" Represses

Suppose we can agree to disagree. While your points hold weight, I just can't fully agree. Casey is a great musician; I never questioned that. Its just the direction he's going in just seems funny. Whether its all a cash grab or not, at least we can agree that the music is all to some degree good. I suppose every band has their "blemishes". I've said the same for fun., but that's besides the point. Anyways, I'm still sad.- 312 replies

AND, it just proves it with this release. It was pretty disappointing and had a serious lack of quality in many areas. And we just ate it up.- 312 replies

The Dear Hunter "Acts I, II, & III" Represses
Kever Wevers replied to RadDonut's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Okay. Listening to this all over again, I've realized something. I haven't listened to the Acts in a LONG time. And it's so much better than I remember! I just don't know how he went from this to Migrant, you know? Like, every sound and lyric is so meaningful and deliberate with these songs. They feel like they have so much more weight. It's great storytelling with complex, incredible music; not just "Don't look back ... k, its over." The songs evolve and are so intricate. I remember, I used to call this my "favorite experimental band". Now, The Dear Hunter is just different. Not entirely bad, but definitely not the same. I seriously think he's realized his full potential of his talent and is exploiting it. I don't think he tries as hard as he used to. Cause if you knew that you could barely try and everyone would love it, wouldn't you coast on that for as long as you could? I've got to say, I'm kind of worried about what Act 4, 5 and 6 will bring... That makes me sad.- 312 replies
