What's your price range? What condition are you looking for?
-
Got my shipping confirmation today. Haven't been buying any vinyl lately to save money but thought I had to get these now as they are limited. Guess they are not that limited. Sigh.

Got my copies.
How'd you get yours so soon? I still haven't even received shipping confirmation yet. Guess it depends on the shipping method chosen and when you ordered. Also how'd they ship it? USPS, FedEx, UPS?

Dulcinea is back up.

I already have an original of Dulcinea (don't have Fear) and paid a lot of money for it. The demand is clearly there given what the originals sell for so I don't get how they could have miscalculated this badly in terms of how many copies to press. This just means that there will be a bunch of copies online for over $100 by the end of the week (release date is Wed).

I wonder why not Dulcinea? Waiting to buy them both at once.

Toad put up a video in Facebook that looks quite a bit like them listening to a test press of Dulcinea. So, fingers crossed.
Saw that. There goes the value of my original.

The U2 track is really good also
Yup. Haven't listened to every U2 song ever recorded but, of the ones I've heard, that's probably my favorite.

Nice, still waiting on Devils & Dust and The Rising tho.
I have The Rising. I remember spending way too much on it. I should probably sell it before it gets reissued.

Along with Fear I'd love to see the following albums either reissued or pressed for the first time.
Yet to be pressed:
John Mellencamp - Human Wheels, Dance Naked, Mr. Happy Go Lucky, Rough Harvest, Cuttin Heads, Freedom's Road, Life Death Live and Freedom
Seether - One Cold Night
Need to be reissued:
Alice in Chains - Facelift
Ozzy Osbourne - Ozzmosis (I have an original but its pretty noisy)

Don't be embarrassed. You like what you like and who gives a shit otherwise. I'd happily buy that as well. Fear could use a repress also. Coil also was never pressed to vinyl. Also these were put out under the Sony umbrella, so probably not easy for the band to repress these on their own, without paying through the nose.
That's the issue. I remember reading somewhere that Glen said it was the reason they haven't been reissued. I have an original and paid a lot for it. I don't have fear and would love to see it reissued. I like Toad the Wet Sprocket and I'm not embarrassed to admit that. Something's Always Wrong is an amazing song.

I have Sing the Sorrow. How much are you looking to spend?

Nice work! I see Pale pop up more often than Fear, my copy has a small hole punched in the cover but the marbled vinyl is nice. I was lucky to have the band sign all my albums at an Amoeba in store a few years ago. Do you have Glen Phillip's "Winter Pays for Summer"? It's a gorgeous record.
No. Don't have any of Glen's solo work yet. My love for Toad has been a more recent thing for me. I've known and liked some of the big hits for years but it's been recently that I've started digging deeper into their work. I haven't listened to Bread and Circus before so I'm excited to get it and give it a spin.

Where did you find Dulcinea? It's the only Toad album I'm missing!
Found it on Discogs. Paid A LOT of money for it. It won't show on the sales history on Discogs since he offered me a lower price to buy it from him direct and avoid the fees. Getting out of the laserdisc game and focusing just on vinyl (more of a music guy) so I sold my 2 rarest Japanese LD's to fund most of the purchase. Also been selling some duplicates I have and gear I don't need to buy more records. Once my outstanding purchases arrive all I need are Pale and Fear since Coil was never released on vinyl.

What stylus did you go with? I've been eyeing this. Heard some good reviews too.
Just the stock one. I want to upgrade someday but I also have to pay bills. If I can get promoted at work down the road (we are building a new store in my area) I'll upgrade my gear. For now any money I have for the hobby I want to put towards more vinyl. I was having some issues with surface noise on a couple of records. Sold a record to a guy but told him there was some surface noise between tracks and during a few quiet parts but still very listenable. He has the same cart (different table though) and said that there was hardly any noise so somethings off with my setup. Re aligned the cart the best I could, re leveled the table, set the VTA as close as I could get it, re balanced the arm, etc and no change. The majority of people on anther forum I belong who responded to my thread suggested that my stylus needed to be replaced so new needle it is. If this doesn't fix it we have a bigger problem. This will keep me listening until I can afford to upgrade some of my gear. My TT is a Technics 1210 MK2. Bought it from a guy on audiokarma.org who had done some of the audiophile mods to it. Great table.

Boo hoo. Sell it now, there are plenty of people who think they NEED stuff but don't know how to use google.
I could do that but I think I want to hang on to my first pressing.

Tapped out for the moment but cannot believe how much I love my new VPI HW 16.5
I had so many record shot records that now sound like new, well worth the investment.
I'd love to have one of those but I can't afford it at the moment. Just ordered a new needle for my Shure M97XE cart.

I saw this the other day. There goes the value of my red vinyl original press.

Waiting on the red vinyl to arrive. My tracking shows "Processing Exception, Regional Weather Delay". I assume it has to do with Hurricane Matthew since I now live in Central Florida. No idea how long the delay will be. As for the album I'm loving it so far. The first half of Forever Now is probably the best they have done in a long time . So good. Also really digging Outlaws.

Don't hate on Better Than Ezra. Good is still one of my favorite jams from the 90s. Love that song.
