*giggles*
That's probably the best thing I'll read on the internet today.
-
The comments are hilarious. Surely something like this can't be sustained though, right? There's no way people will keep paying for it, or at least I hope not.
-
Because this is my United States of WHATEVER!
This post makes me want to go see if that Liam Lynch song album is on vinyl.
-
Bums me out that they had the parody account closed. Shit was funny.
-
Got around to downloading this. I'll mess with it a bit this week and give some feedback.

King's X - Gretchen Goes To Nebraska (Reissue)
Beatles - Anthology 1,2 & 3

It's cool to hate what's popular, I'm guessing. Personally, I love the song, but they have so many better ones.
That's how I feel; not a bad song at all, but they have way better tracks.

Amazon is showing 07/07 for the US. I'm bummed it's gonna take that long, but I'm definitely gonna pick it up.
-
Definite buy if it's got You Know You're Right.

i hope this whole vinyl curation thing burns out quick. even vinyl me, please and feedbands or whatever it's called, is on some dumb shit. whatever happened to discovering music on your own?
That's my thing; I still like to do things in a more organic way. Hearing music at the record store, talking to other buyers at the store, etc.
-
Definite purchase. Thanks for the heads up!

Filled out the survery. Kept my answers short, but hopefully they help.

Would have loved Kacey to release a variant for this sophomore debut. No doubt, there will be some expectations to go with this release..
Same Trailer still gets regular play on my turntable(s), and rightfully so. One of the few bright spots in country music right now.
Edit: This album is kinda pricey, especially considering her first was regualrly available for less than $15. I'm just happy it is getting the vinyl treatment.
I really should spin Same Trailer more than I do. I'll be getting this one anyway so maybe I'll spin the first more on the lead up to release day.

I somehow hadn't heard of this until browsing the thread just now.
There are some great lulz in this thread, so I guess the service at least gave me that.
-
NOOOOOOO! That means the price doubles.
Yep. That's what bummed me out most besides having to wait longer for no real reason.
-
Haha. Didn't mean to use local twice like that. Got mine this morning though, so I'm happy.
-
Is this still happening? Release date was supposed to be 4/28.
I read here:
http://modern-vinyl.com/2015/04/27/high-fidelity-pushed-back-to-november/
that it's been pushed back to Black Friday.

My local store is got 10 of the regular edition and they're holding one for me. I cancelled my B&N order and I'm just gonna grab it locally.

Curious to know what people focus on here...
at first, for me, death and black metal were the big things. Things like Immolation's "Dawn of Possession" and early releases from Incantation, Monstrosity, Krisiun, etc.
I don't even listen to those records any more, really.
Lately, as a result of my renewed interest in the band Isis, I've been bit by the post-rock bug HARD. And I can't stop buying, haha.
First it was getting every Isis record on vinyl, and then going after new discoveries like Caspian, If These Trees Could Talk, Lights and Motion, sleepmakeswaves, and This Will Destroy You.
Currently listening to something that came in the mail yesterday - Joy Wants Eternity "The Fog Is Rising".
They're like This Will Destroy You mixed with Explosions in the Sky. They have the ambient chill pacing but more guitar-focused like Explosions In The Sky. I love this shit haha.
Curious to know what you guys collect and what you play most often?
I collect mostly what would considered pop/rock. I've got a lot of rap/R&B, a lot of metal, a little jazz and some country as well. I spin whatever I'm feeling like hearing at that time. Though 70% of my collection is pop/rock, I listen to an even amount of everything with country probably being the least.

I ordered mine from Barnes & Noble of all places. I got a confirmation email immediately, then one about an hour later saying it was 05/04. Since I placed that order, my card was stolen and I had to get a replacement. I think/hope that I'll get a notification soon saying payment was declined and they need a new card number.

Finally got around to spinning the second LP. Not noise issues that others are having. Phew!
-
I'm down for grabbing this. Liked a lot of her earlier stuff and this will be a great way to have all of it in one place.

I have an OG TRL and MOV AD, but I'd be all over these if both LPs have the bonus tracks.
