  1. Would it be okay on top of my tape deck if my tape deck is off?
  2. I preordered Vertikal, Kvelertak, and Aske all on splatter from last rights. I am feeling all the splatter. Kvelertak is going to look like someone barfed skittles on my turntable and I won't even be mad.
  3. Just got my self titled today from merch now. I opened it up and it was one of the 45 label blowout copies! I'm so hyped right now!
  4. I figured that when stuff was "backordered" at best buy but sold out everywhere else that they probably won't be getting it back it. I just ordered a copy of Turn On The Bright Lights. I'll let you know which one I get.
  5. I don't think they have the anniversary edition. I couldn't find one on discogs with a release date near 2010. There was a 120 gram and 180 gram released in 2007 and then the anniversary edition was released in 2012. It's probably a super rare best buy only variant.
  6. Has anyone actually ordered an item with the backorder status from best buy? I am just skeptical that it won't actually ship.
  7. Yeah mine does some funky stuff occasionally when I am trying to start and stop it. One thing I can't stand is how awkward the little handle to pick up the arm is. It comes out at a weird angle and is too close to get your finger under without bumping the cartridge. Have you had that problem?
  8. How long have you had yours? Do you like it?
  9. Well her name is Lucy and I think she would have a hard time with that.
  10. Oh okay. I didn't know that an amp could cause that much vibration. I am going to try and rearrange everything. Thanks for the tip
  11. This album keeps getting better with each listen. I had the same experience with Purity Ring - Shrines.
  12. Yeah it's pretty fun to hunt for all the equipment. I spent around $40 for my setup (turntable was a gift) and it sounds really good. I really like the way the two different sets of bookshelf speakers sounds. I am saving up for a brand new setup but I am ways off and already pretty content with my sound. All the technical stereo stuff can get so overwhelming. I feel like I need to take a class before I start diving into it.
  13. I haven't heard anything about this but I sure am hyped about the RSD Live at the bayside social club release. I would probably pick this up too.
  14. I would definitely do things differently if I had more space. I usually just scoot the speakers that are sitting on the entertainment center over on top of the others. What is the benefit of not stacking the turntable?
  15. Yeah I snagged my Kenwood at goodwill for $10 as well. I always keep an eye out for decent electronics when thrifting.
  16. Preface: I don't really know too much about stereo equipment. I just tinkered and played around with stuff until I got a result that I thought sounded solid. Let me know if there is something I should do differently or if there is anything I should lookout for at thrift stores. So the setup I am currently running is comprised of things I have found at local thrift stores except for my record player. I received a Sony PS-LX300USB as a gift. I tried out a couple hand me down stereo receivers that my family had laying around but ended up finding a Hitachi HTA-4001 in good shape for $10 at a goodwill down the street from my house. I got home, tested it out and it worked great. I then started hunting for random speakers for a little under a month and found a set of RCA bookshelf speakers that are 8 ohms nominal, 50 watts RMS, and 100 watt max. I also found a set of slightly larger Sony bookshelf speakers that are 8 ohms and 100 watt max as well. I got home and hooked the Sonys into the A speaker hook ups and the RCA into the B hook ups. I noticed that the Sonys give a good low end and the RCA give a really solid mid to high sound. I have posted some pics below. (also a little peek of my pup Lucy) Let me know what you guys think.
  17. For anyone who wants to check this movie out for free at an advanced screening http://evildeadscreenings.com/ It works and I got tickets emailed to me. It's first come first serve at the theater is the only catch so get there early.
  18. I am excited for this movie. I am a fan of the original and always go into horror remakes with an open mind. The fact that they are not using any CGI for the gore makes me even more excited. I am willing to bet this is one of the bloodiest horror movies to date.
  19. Thanks guys! Yeah I feel you on wearing blank t shirts. A lot of my friends are like that as well. You really have to be behind a brand and what it stands for to wear their logo. As far as making cut & sew blank garments goes, manufacturing is quite the process. I would love to put out some original basic style clothing but it's a step I just haven't reached yet.
  20. Hey all, I am new to these boards and just thought I would post about what I do with most of my time. I have my own men's lifestyle brand called Runner Up. I have been working on it for a little over two years now. I draw influence mainly from skateboarding and music. Here is my website if you want to take a look. runnerupapparel.com Check it out and let me know what you guys think.
  21. For some reason I thought you were talking about their new EP even though you said LP haha. One of the band members told me that they will have the Wizard of War EP available at the show on green or purple but I don't know if I can make it out.
