Got mine yesterday, and like it was said earlier...the packaging from MPD was insane! Great packaging (maybe a little too much, but good to see some care put into vinyl packaging). Possibly the only packaging greater than this was from Sound Stage Direct - they know what's up too. Anyways - glad to finally have this record and it sounds great!

Mine came with an awesome seam split straight out of the packaging. I was pumped after waiting so long to get it. Real pumped. Awesome, guys.

I hear ya. It can get pricey. I am also interested in what they say back to you re: shipping. I recently ordered an entire table for my house that weighs about 40lbs and it didn't cost $26.00

Wow - I only ordered the Half Bone/Half Clear and the $10 shipping tag made me cringe. I thought CM was a customer-centered company...we all know a single LP doesn't cost $10 to ship within the U.S.

Testing the limits of what he can do naturally with his voice, Rogers' strikingly beautiful falsetto and dynamic range conjures tales of anxiety, collapse, end-times and strength against swelling, heart-lifting arrangements and pristine backdrops of ambient loops, digital burbles, analog hiss and woozy drones. Exploring combinations of the outré genres of both post-rock and electronic, the music's emotionally resonant yet textural sounds draw reference to artists such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, the Verve, Beck, Oasis and Spiritualized, balancing both rock and electronic impulses. I took a more rock approach and really focused on writing simple yet dynamic songs. Lyrically, I feel it's a great mix of storytelling and personal experience. "Modern Noise" is basically just saying this is my current noise on the earth. We all are here for a short amount of time and the noise we make is our memory. Just found this thread. Super pumped about this release. I found out about this band in college while watching TV in the background and vaguely hearing "Everything I Once Had" being played live on some show, and just got sucked in. Immediately got the record and didn't stop listening for a long time. Simply great music. "Nostalgia" or not - this deserves a proper pressing and I've never had any issues with any ETR releases. Thanks for this.
