  1. This is pretty much how I feel too. I have a couple of signed albums, but for the most part they're signed by bands that very few people care about and their autographs have not upped the value at all. This has been a bit awkward though, when you approach a band that you've been really digging and you go for their autograph and they get all weird because they don't see themselves as the kind of band that gives autographs. My New Wave is autographed by everyone who was in Against Me! at the time. But my prized autograph record is The Essential Sounds From the Far East by DMBQ, signed by the band plus China Nishiura before she died in that car accident a couple years back.
  2. In for the 4 records. Always thanks for hosting these
  3. Oof on the shipping, let us know if you make it down to Washington at any point and feel like shipping from there.. I'd love to pick up some of those Burzum
  4. You have a pretty sweet collection, before I just starting listing off everything I'd be interested in, what are you looking for in particular?
  5. Thanks for the mention, I totally endorse this seller
  6. I thought about specializing but I decided to keep my amateur status so I could sell blink-182 CDs in the Olympics
  7. I've got a like new copy of Frank Turner - Recovery RSD 7" that I'm hoping to trade for the Hold Steady's RSD release Criminal Fingers. It's not in it's wrapping but I only spun it once. This is the UK release.
  8. The thing about Friends is that it had that remembering factor to it. There was a certain amount of continuity to it. The same reason why so many people watch US Office, cause it's fun to remember things and then you can talk about it later. Seinfeld had some continuity, but it was bonefide "show about nothing" so that continuity had no place. There was no plot, no "I wonder what will happen next". I voted Seinfeld as the better of the shows (because it is) but it's much more fun to debate the characters of Friends because of the storylines. A conversation about Seinfeld falls into quotes or Remember That Episode When... before any real conversation gets to start
  9. I can't know what a record store will offer you, but for 1200 I would say somewhere in the realm of $250-300. If, that is, they even bother dealing with you carting in 1200 cds at once. My suggestion would be to start an ebay auction and invest a bit of money into promoting it. If you're looking to off them all as a lot this would be a great pickup for a record store who wants to buy a ton of choice cds (or especially someone who is hoping to open a record store). You'd probably make a lot more money this way.
  10. This sounds awesome! I wish I lived anywhere near this show so I could help you out. Unfortunately. the only times the Melvins have ever played my area it's been Melvins "Lite"
  11. I like that metallic Drive print, though I don't know how you'd want to go about trading. There's a link to my tradelist in my signature but I think you're going to have a difficult time finding proper trades considering the value of your prints.
  12. If you're still looking for the Frank Turner, I found two UK retailers that still have it. The cheaper of the two: http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD13FRANK
  13. Wow. Now I wish I had held onto my copy, picked up this record new at Amoeba 4years back for about $18 sealed
  14. Emperor X is very cool. I picked up their debut album at Amoeba a couple years back, one of the few cds I've held onto over the years. I keep forgetting to check out their other albums. I need to put a note on the fridge or something.
