My mistake, but the point stands that getting self-righteous about lip-syncing at events or performances like this is beyond stupid. 

I never said she isn't good at singing, just that I cannot stand how people worship her and how she acts like she owns the world. She fucking lip-synced the national anthem. I have no respect for her.

Bruce Springsteen lip-synced his performance on the Superbowl. Is he your second most hated musician and do you have no respect for him?

The unique preorder code was giving me crappy seats for the Massachusetts show... I switched over and tried the general af.com code "reflektor" and got pit... really messed up that the general presale had better seats than the people who bought the album

Big thanks for the heads-up on this. I was baffled by the shit tickets I was seeing for my code. I was able to buy two solo pit tickets with the generic presale code. Weird, but at least it worked out in the long run. 

I like the DJ interludes. I also don't have issues with the sound quality of the first or second side. Whole thing sounds consistent to me. 

Yeah, they've been doing these exclusives for a couple months now, mostly with Talking Heads represses. They did a 1000 run of Fear of Music in September on green vinyl and The Name Of This Band Is... on maroon (again, 1000) just released today. They had copies of both in stores (and they have several stores) so that's probably the reason why there's only so many available for pre-order. 

You were able to get the $6 version in person? Or is this a different version? I'm just really hoping the $6 one is the same as whichever version you got, sounds nice!

Yeah, they were selling them in stores for the same price. Newbury Comics had them but sold out, so I just ordered from Bull Moose.

I've listened to this all the way through three times and I'm having a hard time figuring out why anyone would say it's their worst.

To me, Neon Bible is the worst LP they've released. I love it, but it's not up to snuff with The Suburbs or even this record (I can tell that already) and doesn't hold a candle to Funeral. 

Their albums aren't always growers for me, but The Suburbs was for some reason. If you're really having a hard time with it, I'd recommend giving it some time as others have suggested. 

Got mine today. I avoided the streams and the leaks so I could listen to the vinyl first. It reminds me of a poppier Sandanista! in a lot of ways (only on side B though). I like it a lot.

I kinda like the black and white version better, though. Oh well.

I got an email a few minutes ago announcing the limited red vinyl, but it looks like it was sent out to her whole mailing list.  Still no code.  It better not sell out before they get codes out, I'll be upset.  The tour went onsale without giving pre-orderers a presale as was promised, so I'm a little worried.

I ordered it just in case, then sent them a message about the missing code. They don't charge until they ship so I'm just going to pester them until they take the 20% off my order.

Saw Janelle live lastnight in Boston and she KILLED it.  Crazy energy and just a great great voice and band.

That was, indeed, a crazy show. She topped herself from the last time I saw her, which I didn't think was possible.

Anyone have that 20% discount code? I ordered that bundle but never got the code. I can forward the email to someone if they don't believe me. 

It's pretty good. I need to listen to it some more. I don't think it's as good as HIssing Fauna (or Satanic Panic) but it's solid and I like that they've gone back to a full band sound. That's been missing since Satanic Panic and it's a welcome return after so many albums that just sound like they might as well be Barnes solo.
