Nope.  I think your hearing is fine.  I'm finding AV to sound rather "meh" for the most part.  Muffled and muddy and kind of shit all around.

Maybe we'll get a definitive edition in a couple years?

Yeah.  Seven Stick is really much better than expected.  Totally digging it myself.  I have renewed hopes for this album after all...

I hope the fact that the colored vinyl looks like a turd isn't any indication because the Passion song is terrible.  Run was a mixed bag full of some really great stuff and really "meh" stuff and Passionas a first single just left me with no hope that Bruno was putting any effort into his songs.   Megalithic Symphony is a masterpiece though.   I love Awol otherwise, so this is a must buy.

Got mine today as well.  Really impressed that ThinkGeek got these out so fast!  The overall package is super nice except for the paper sleeves (meh) but I slipped all vinyl into MoFi sleeves anyway.  I've only listened to a few tracks so far, and my only real complaint is that the title track sounds like it was recorded in a barrel 100 miles away.   I expected it to be a bit more up front and in my face, but it's just not at all.   It still sounds okay I guess and it's definitely worth the purchase if you're a fan of the game.

Totally agree!  Man, they have some great records.  Shabooh Shoobah, The Swing, Listen Like Thieves, WTWYA, Full Moon Dirty Hearts, etc...good grief...all of their albums are actually pretty damn solid for the most part.

A tip to those who ordered up the AV physical component:  I got mine today and didn't realize what it was when it was dropped at my desk at work.  I didn't recognize the sender either and sure wasn't expecting the AV piece to arrive so soon (I just ordered it less than a week ago). 

Anyway, I proceeded to use scissors to cut the end of the envelope off because it didn't have an obvious entry point and it was padded so not easily torn...and of course, I cut right into the zip lock bag that the physical component is  in.  It more or less *exactly* fit the padded envelope they send it in.   Fawwwwwwwwwwk.

And yes, it's only a heavy duty zip lock bag, but still.  Not happy to have more or less destroyed the original package. 

Oh, and NTAE arrive too in perfect condition.  Hope you guys get your soon!

Just listened to Aeronaut on spotify.  Not bad.  It's just Billy, piano, and strings.  It sounds like it could have come out of the MCIS era.   He hits a few spots in the song where his voice just took me back to years gone by.  Curious to hear some more.

Got my orange today.  I nearly opened it and then went out to ebay and discogs to see what it's selling for.  HOLY SHIT.

I may sit on it for now to see where value goes and order up a black copy for playing purposes.

While I totally agree that not putting the sides on the labels is just stupid, you can see the sides listed in the dead wax if you look close enough.  Hope that helps.

Got my 7" yesterday and 12" today from Bullmoose.  Less than impressed with the 7" because the label that wraps over the top already has ring wear on it.  Brand new item with ring wear!  Geez.  On the bright side, the pvc sleeve is fully intact and not split on any side.  The 12" looks really nice, so that's made up for the disappointing 7".

Agreed.  I got my copy several months back, but it's absolutely fantastic in every way.   It's HUGE, heavy, and luxurious.  Highly recommended not just for the hardcore NIN fan, but fans of art in general.
