As I now own David's 2LP (at least I think it was you)...I can say that the sound quality is a 90/100. Pretty stellar. Just to throw a somewhat comparable (however distorted by perception and components) number out there.

 

True story. 

I couldn't do a side by side comparison or anything like that but from what I recall from the 2xLP, sound quality is very similar; both seemed very good.

Got mine in today. Except for having some pretty gnarly seam splits on a few of the inner sleeves, it's a pretty sweet little package. Happy to have this over my old 2xLP. The booklet seems rad. Looking forward to reading it over while I spin it tonight.

I'm most curious to see if these are 45rpm or 33. I'm gonna assume 33. Just hoping everything arrives in good shape. 

Totally agree Tertia sounds a bit "muddy", no matter what format you listen to it on, but still a classic nonetheless. "La Cerva" got me into the band & I've always loved the subtleties of that song.

The recorded version of "Sycamore" doesn't even remotely come close to doing that song justice though. It's just one of those songs that HAS to be experienced live.

It's impossible to see Sycamore live and not be moved.

That half and half is definitely my favorite right now.  And since it doesn't sound like a group buy is going down, I'll be buying my own copy asap!

 

EDIT:  ORDERED!  Also, I wish there were more of those Hobbledehoy Records shirts with the logo and company name on it.  I wanted to get one, but no way I can squeeze into a small haha.

 

Ahh I meant to ask you if you wanted to go in on a purchase together last night. I'm often in the Akron/Cleveland area on the weekends and could've worked out a meet up/dropoff. Oh well, I might just wait and see what the indie store and tour variants are.

Yeah, it ended up coming yesterday. It was sent back to the hub about an hour away, sat there for a day and then came back to me. 

Valid reason? Probably not. It's much safer for your sanity not to try and relate reason/logic to anything pertaining to USPS. 

 

Honestly.

 

Sometimes packages just sit. Maybe someone missed it, maybe it just didn't get scanned, who knows.
