  1. is pressing info around yet for the new lifetime press?

Not as far as I know. All I've heard is that it was pressed on something like, Pink, White, and Orange, and all equal numbers.

500 a pop. Gonna do white for the repress, whenever that is called for.

  2. ??? Why would it have no cover? Covers are cool. FWF always came with a cover. Same cover. We re-printed the cover recently and it has the more recent NI logo on the back. Otherwise, the same as always. The next pressing will also have a printed inner pocket sleeve. Fancy, huh?

Has there already been a pressing with this new cover, or is it waiting for the next repress?

We used the "new" covers for the leftover records from the previous pressing. Dunno how many that was. The covers are the same, maybe a little more detail in the dark areas. And the Hand-Brushed NI logo we've been using for the last few years. Otherwise, the same. Same old inserts. New pressing = inner pocket sleeve, but the same art as the old insert. So... nerdy cool, but not earth shattering.

  3. I have a TON of these.

    If anyone needs any

    $25 for 500

    thanks

If you have a TON and wanna talk turkey, we go through bags like some people go through, uh, meth? Gross. Drop me a line.

We are actually having LP bags manufactured for us right now. We just got the samples and they are lookin' good. Minor tweaks and away we go! Probably move on to 7" bags soon too. I'll post here if we get the prices low enough to re-sell cheaper than BU.

  4. same artwork, just different colors no?

Yes, same art. And for the first 50-100 of the second press, the ink color is more YELLOW, and the rest are more green-yellow. The difference is noticeable, especially if you are a nerd. We needed to get some to the band on the fast, then adjusted to get the "correct" color for the rest. Hope that bums you out. Hahaha!

The "Euro tour" press has what is actually screwed up cover art. Some of the layers didn't show up, so there are some black blobs where there are not supposed to be any. And the colors are different too. Ha.

  5. By small-run, I'm meaning 300 or so. I guess it would be 5 LPs + perhaps a live nugget LP or something.

For HWM, believe me, we talked about it. But... what the hell, it would have to be a big ass box!

    Finding + 7"

    Fuel

    Forever

    Live

    NE x2

    No D

    Flight

    Caut

    TNWN

    Wheels x2

AT split + LF split sides = 1 LP

    That's 13 LP (12 if we dropped Demos)+ 1 7" right there!

    What the crap?!?

  6. It's a robot what does it.

Seriously? Is there an automated program that sends reminders after a given period or are you just messing around.

Either way, I didn't really mind at all, I just thought it was a bit humorous.

Nope, it's all human-inflicted computer aggression. We'll blame it on Geis for some reason. He's the red-shirt new guy, so we'll sacrifice him to the rampaging Mugato. If you were ordering something uber cool (and of course you were, right?) then we were probably trying to separate the flakes from the real fans. Ha. Someone always flakes and with so many people weeping, you probably got lumped into the "are they flaking?" pile along with people who really were flaking. You were SUPPOSED to be in the SUPER RAD BEING pile. It's Geis's mistake. Hate on Geis. Yeah, Geis. Not Matt and not me. Blame Geis. [email protected]. Send him disturbing photos and nonsensical messages.

  7. Man, No Idea is a funny creature. I placed an order Friday morning and opted to pay via Paypal. We all know that No Idea takes at least a day or two to send out Paypal invoices and I don't believe they work through the weekend so it didn't surprise me that I didn't get the payment request till Monday. However, I didn't get a chance to pay that day and LESS THAN A DAY LATER I received a payment reminder for the order.

I seriously just thought that was so funny because people get so upset that their Paypal invoices don't get sent out right away. I mean, shit, it takes a while, no biggie. But I had to wait 3 days for my invoice and after one day of non-payment I received a reminder. TELL MATT TO EXERCISE SOME PATIENCE!

Really though, I wasn't bothered by it and this isn't a complaint. I just thought it was a mildly humorous story I wanted to share.

It's a robot what does it.

  8. Var-

When should we order to endure we get the 2nd press as well? has the first round of orders shipped yet? I've been avoiding listening to this until i can get it on my record player.

    word.

No one should have to ENDURE the 2nd pressing. Ha.

Whenever... now that our site is un-fucked-up again. 1st round finished getting packed / mailed today. Been mailing over the last few days. Anyone get one yet? Do you like the way it's all colorful yet if you squint it still kinda looks black and white? Fancy pants, I tell you. 2nd round. Crazy. Should be shipping late next week. I'll post photos when they arrive... unless you'd all rather wait and find out later. ???

OWTH is halfway through writing the follow up LP. No shit.

  9. I think I have this. No special cover.

Its not so much the no special cover as it is, does it have a cover at all?

??? Why would it have no cover? Covers are cool. FWF always came with a cover. Same cover. We re-printed the cover recently and it has the more recent NI logo on the back. Otherwise, the same as always. The next pressing will also have a printed inner pocket sleeve. Fancy, huh?

(There was a release-show version on GUTS that had a different-than-normal cover. Maybe you are thinking of that?)

-- We are pondering a small run box-set of every PMFS 12" in, well, one box. Probably add some kind of live record or some candy. Discuss.

  10. Yeah, you read that right. The SECOND PRESS will be here late next week. With the FIRST PRESS, we had to trim all the wholesale orders way down and STILL are going to run out. Freaky!

-- The 2nd press will be 1,000 copies on two specific colors, appx 500 each (at least that is the plan, we'll see what happens). Up the punx! --

Note: there will still be Grey copies of the FIRST PRESS floating around in the world for a little while, in stores, etc, just not as many as were requested. So... don't fret. you can still chase them. Pretty much all the green and purple are going to direct mailorders. If you are bummed, you can try to sneak an order in for the first press colors, but you probably missed some of them. You snooze, your friends mock you.

  11. hey var, do you know the numbers for the actual colors? or are you keeping mum on purpose, haha?

#1 -- we don;t know what the band got, as the records shipped straight from the plant. So any #s we posted would be incorrect.

#2 -- this record is special in and of itself. that there were unintentionally variants, well that's just fate. I'd like to believe that --just this one time-- everyone would be happy with having ONE copy and just feel special with that, as opposed to chasing multiples. Now, I do know that the impulse will be hard to fight. The INTENTION was to only have one color, but... shite, I can't complain. The band got the records in time, barely, and that was the important part. I hope you all at least have fun with it and post photos for every one to share. Oh, and help pay for our kids' college fund with the 75 copies we stashed "for later" haha. (Just kidding, this is a total joke. We did not do this!)

  12. I find alot of this really fascinating. The iTunes thing especially. I wonder if that is because the people buying on iTunes are more casual listeners and aren't aware that the music can be found for free or if they are hardcore listeners who know they can find the music for free, but feel that they want to support the band by paying for it. I personally found The Fear x3 online, heard it, then bought the album and their previous two so I'd fall into the latter group.

What's funny is all the reviews on iTunes for D'OH mention that the downloads are FREE on the band's own site... and list the band's site, right there. You can't help but see the info. Funny.

  13. Maybe to the $3 cd in the sleeve, definitely to the bonus 7". Your LP prices are already pretty good, so it wouldn't break the bank too much for me.

Glad you mentioned that. This is along the lines of my thinking. We keep prices low, such that to add extras can sometimes be a burden, especially if these extras were to potentially cut into the CD sales. So the questions I have asked are genuine. Just curious to get some takes on it. Some "larger releases" that came with a CD thrown in were close to a $10 WHOLESALE, so it does make me think that $10 mailorder for an LP/CD combo is pretty much a deal. If we ever experiment with this, it will be for mailorder only. Not for full release. I find that vinyl is doing just fine, honestly. It's always been our forte. We've never had to CONVINCE people to go for vinyl. Ha!

I also feel like the bands should get a bigger cut if there is an LP+CD option, meaning a slightly higher price is required for the combo.

I also feel that NOTHING a label does effects iTunes sales, including having public free downloads (case in point: Defiance, Ohio). People who want to use iTunes just use iTunes. Basically.
