I agree 100% on this. Collectors tend to be elitist assholes...but then there are the a'ight ones here at VC.

As long as there is a demand for the record, and the lable wants to keep pressing or rather, repressing the record, this will always happen. Part of me does get upset when a record that I searched for and spent some money to get, is repressed. But another part is OK with it because maybe I wouldn't have been able to get it due to excessive aftermarket prices and whatnot. Everyone here is making valid points about this issue. You can either get mad about it...or just move on and enjoy the music.

I need to get off my ass and finish FFXII...I'm halfway but then stopped. I tend to do that. Play the game non-stop everyday and then just come to a dead stop and not play again for weeks...sometimes months...I'm weird like that. Plus having a mild case of ADD doesn't help.

Dude...you have no idea, I used to be such a Victory Records whore back in the day when these release were originally out out...I was a total 90's hardcore nut! Seeing these albums brings back a lot of memories...

Dinged corners are a reality in shipping records. It's bound to happen 95% of the time. True collectors and appreciators of the music will not mind this much...

I heard about this. I told myself that I'd buy a PS3 when FF XIII comes out. Or if they remake FF VII for sure...

That's going to be the next big question...how to tell the 1st and 2nd presses apart.

Use the link that's on the first page of this thread. Click on account information. Log on. It should kick you over to page with 'order status' as the first choice. Click on that and it will list any and all orders you have placed with a status next to them.

A friend of mine ordered as soon as the first round went up (10/17 @ around 2:40pm or so) and he told me that his order status still says "preordered" when we spoke earlier today. Whatever...The label is full of shit...merchdirect is full of shit...and the band is full of shit... I'm not 100% angry...just annoyed and irked...blah!
