I bought a Marantz PM8004 used for around $500 a few years ago and have been pretty happy with it.
Here's one on EBay for a bit more than that:

any wav recording software will do the job. There are multiple freeware options.
-
there's a member floating around here some where that attempted the AT95E repair described above.
I believe his feedback was that it works, but the reports you may see online stating there is no difference weren't accurate. Not sure if he ended up replacing.

Great thread.
Currently looking to get back into vinyl thanks to the recent release of the Sgt. Pepper 50th Anniversary remix.
Currently torn between the RP3 with Ortofon Bronze or the Marantz TT-15S1 with Virtuoso cartridge (which is what originally brought me to this thread). Seems like both are winners but not sure I'd trust myself to assemble the Marantz correctly and the RP3 can be purchased with the Bronze installed.
Just a note: the Marantz table in question is the extremely easy to assemble. Possibly the easiest on the market in its price range. It was no more difficult than the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon I owned previously.
Pre-installed or not, you have to check the measurements.

if leveling is an issue, you should level the surface, not the turntable. if the floor/cabinet/whatever are unlevelable, you may be better off just building a wall mounted shelf for the turntable.

I don't think that taking the signal from your guitar and plugging it into a non-guitar amp is a good idea. The frequency range coming off your guitar is wider than that expected by the receiver/speakers. You need to have something in between that has a speaker output intended for use with AV speakers in order to avoid damaging your speakers.

If you're after anything much smaller, you're probably better off just returning your speakers and getting active monitors.

I took it 5 times. If you read this, you must scrap your results and start over or be guilty of academic fraud.
have a nice day.

get an Oppo UDP-203.

the "official@ statement is that it's a one-off show. I'm pretty sure they'll announce headlining spots on other Riotfest stops (still doing Denver? Toronto?) but I'd bet Riotfest shelled out enough to make this happen that they have exclusivity.

Try toggling the onboard phono preamp on/off. Otherwise, yeah...LP60

Any speaker cable will do the job. It looks like your speakers are able to accept a banana plug but your receiver will only take bare wire or a pin connector. You'll probably have to go custom for that configuration.
if you want to do it right, head over to bluejeans cable and take a look at their products.

Second the CC chargeback. It may not work, but it's a good idea to explore all avenues right away rather than wait for the seller or UPS to cough up another guitar or $$$.

Weird coincidence. A friend of mine was carrying a pair of these around last night (different wood inserts) and I asked her what they were. No idea if they sound any good.
You might want to scoot over to head-fi.org. If there's no info there, they're probably not worth owning.

Sounds right to me. There's a click and then the blue lights should come on while the power indicator stays red.
Assuming you had speakers selected. It will let you operate with no speaker set activated (A or B or A + B )

For obvious reason, I don't feel inclined to double down on Marantz.
Hopefully you can return. I had the HDMI card go out on an AV receiver I bought from Accessories4less and I had to go through the manufacturer for warranty repair. On the bright side, it was fixed for free with no further issues and minimal hassle.

Fuck. This thing just died. It's had less than 10 hours of use. FML.
That's pretty crazy. Did you buy it new? As a refurb?
-
Might not be too hard to find somebody with a hobbyist level CNC machine that could knock it out relatively easily.
-
A lot of shit can cause issues like that. New cell tower in the neighborhood?
Some people swear by plugging in to a high quality power strip like a Tripplite.
-
if you have swapped turntables, preamps, inputs, and are only getting the issue when playing vinyl...it could be a power issue. have you tried connecting the whole thing into plugs in a different part of your home? (fun, I know)
-
which machine did you buy?

This particular amp is pretty versatile. It has a 'power amp only' mode that bypasses the built in preamp or you could try the built in preamp and maybe resell your Pro-ject stuff and recoup some money if you find you prefer the on board pre.
For what it's worth, I'm using my PM8004 with a Marantz TT-15S1 with the stock Clearaudio Virtuoso cart and driving a pair of Monitor Audio RX8s.
