No. There is static while doing this at higher volumes, but it is equal between the channels.

I finally got my setup together, but now I am experiencing a noticeable hum out of one of the speaker channels. I have read a lot of threads about humming and making sure everything is "properly grounded" and all that, but I'm still having some confusion and I want to make sure I'm clear on everything. First, when I switch the cables going into my amp from the turntable, the humming changes channels, so I think that rules out the speakers being the issue. The ground cable is running from the turntable where it is nice and secure, to the amp's phono ground, here it is also nicely secured. From here, I don't know how to troubleshoot this issue. The cables going into the cartridge look well-secured, but I don't totally know what they'd look like if they were fucked. I bought this amp Marantz factory refurbished from Accessories4Less and they have a good reputation from what I understand. Also, the turntable is practically brand new. Bought it in Feburary and haven't touched it since then because I didn't have all my shit together yet. Can anyone guide me on the next steps to take?

Yeah, I've read that page and a few others, but most refer to a series numbered "I, II, III, and IV" but very few references to 210s. I'll let everyone know as soon as I have the opportunity to do so.

I've been in the search for some speakers to finish my new setup (project debut carbon+marantz pm6004) and my dad offered me these speakers he found in his garage. Two Atlantean 210s. They have 2 10" woofers, 4" mid, and 1" tweeter. I have done a bit of research and 2 people have said the 110 model (with only 1 10" woofer) is a decent speaker and about two others said that they're probably shit "house brand" speakers. I don't know/trust anyone from either of these sources, but does anyone immediately know anything about or have any experience with these speakers? EDIT: Here's a shitty little picture [larger if you click through]. It includes a fuse on the faceplate that blows when too much power is sent to the speaker to protect the drivers from being blown. Kind of a cool feature. I could take a picture of the woofers/mid/tweeter if anyone is interested.

I recently bought a Carbon, and I think the amp I am going to buy is the Yamaha A-S500. The next big question for me is speakers. Amazon has Polk 75Ts listed at 250/speaker and I am wondering if using two of these guys with the A-S500 is a viable option, because I can't seem to find much information about this particular set-up. From my research, it seems like all my components would work together well, but I am in need of advice from someone with a bit more knowledge than myself. Thank you!!
