  3. hello. I have a professionally framed (not matted) JANE DOE silk screen that I would like to have taken off my hands into the proper home for it. It is in perfect condition and was professionally framed with black (steel?) edges. If anyone is interested just drop me a line. This is not a promo poster, but the super limited one from deathwish a few years ago. Thanks
  4. The limited edition preorder included a poster, a litho the singer/guitarist dan did, a tshirt and a cassette of some unreleased demos.
  5. OK, let me also talk about some more great bands that no one gives a shit about. I will post more when I'm not at work. P.E.E. - from SF - one of the best pop bands ever. Good luck finding their vinyl. REX - older Brooklyn band. Part slowcore new country. On Southern. Their album "C", never released on vinyl, is a fucking masterpiece and one of my favorite records. Think late night Bourbon. REIN SANCTION. Old Sub Pop band who probably worshipped Dinosaur Jr's BUG.
  6. to answer an earlier question, TRUE WIDOW are from Dallas. I don't understand why people aren't flipping out over them - its the perfect mixture of MY BLOODY VALENTINE, Texas, LOW and maybe LUNGFISH or CODEINE. Heavy, slow and pure bliss. Maybe I'm weird, but I just don't understand buying multiple varients of the same record when you could spend that money on something new and mind blowing. I GUESS I'M OLD.
  7. TRUE WIDOW both of their LPs knock everything out of the water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxuWBNVTxMQ http://www.kemado.com/shop/true-widow-as....-of-the -earth/
  8. Don't sleep on this. You can thank me later. Hands down the best record of 2011. Very heavy, very slow and beautiful dude and lady vocals. Somewhere between LOW, AUTOLUX, MY BLOODY VALENTINE and every other great band. Very Texas as well. Sorry for the horrible description but it's an incredible record and I hope everyone gets the chance to check it out. http://www.kemado.com/shop/true-widow-as....-of-the -earth/

  10. for years mine was the first CRAIN lp, speed. and those squirrel bait LPs. ive always wanted the shellac futurist LP and the explosions in the sky first lp on vinyl.i don't think the last REX album, C, was ever pressed, but that would be up there.
  11. Also - speaking of hoarders, record collecting, etc - about those record collector of the day threads - I think it would be awesome if there was a thread not about someone who has 150 records - but someone who has ruined their life over buying records, searching for the impossible to find 7", traveling to new hope pa in hopes of finding some out of print record in a shop that isnt in the know, scouring through estate sales for test press or acetates, etc.
  12. I hear you on that. I've had OCD for a long time and it took me a while to connect the two. By the way - thanks for bringing up BB - one of the best records ever. I'm going to go listen to it now, especially after seeing that Brewmasters Episode last night.
  13. $25 ppd for the record if anyone is interested. Thats about $10-$15 less than current auctions had it go for. Ill throw in some free 7"s too.
  14. Going to unload this on ebay unless anyone here wants to make me an offer first.

  16. ha ha, damn, any of yall every seen that show hoarders? some of you should be on it. i do have to say, i enjoy this thread so i can see other people's furniture though.
  17. is it just me, or is almost every independent music/indie etc documentary as of late have commentary from thurston moore, mike watt and ian mackaye?
  18. We have three new songs done, about 25 minutes worth of mudd. Part of this little trip/vacation is try out the new songs live and see if they cut the mustard, or if they are more instrumental turds. I'm really happy with them; we found a new tuning and bought a bunch of ridiculous new equipment, so we'll see how it goes. Trust me, we'd do way more if we could; but life gets in the way.
  19. im curious if anyone on here got one a) randomly in mailorder or has seen one turn up at their local store (doubtful as im sure an employee grabbed it).
  20. Yeah, we can't play outside of California due to some member's legal issues until next year (joking). We already have stuff in the works for So. Cal 2011, as well as Portland and Seattle next year. We are also going to play Austin sxsw 2011 too. That should be a real mess, but at least I will get to eat BBQ and watch some "up and coming" bands.
  21. Shows are posted now online. Come see us in California. We'll have the last copies of the blueish clear vinyl with us and some new merch. The San Diego show is with a new Beware of Safety band, and the LA show is this free party that Filter Magazine and Toyota are throwing. Maybe we will get paid with a new car? Probably not. Hope to see everyone there who lives on the west coast. 2010. 10.06. SANTA ROSA. CA THE NORTH BAY FILM & ART COLLECTIVE | w/ Judgement Day + Not To Reason Why 2010. 10.07. SAN FRANCISCO. 22. @blackholesun: yeah - bottom hill w god is an astronaut. our first show. what a mess. glad you enjoyed it. its amazing what two years of playing will do for a band... @sharkticon: cool on portland. we will def be up there. if you have a nice clean place that doesnt smell like cat piss, we will gladly take you up on your offer, and most likely we will cook you dinner, buy you beer and wash your dishes in return. @empathy: about 300 copies on blue were pressed, and i think about 115 on white w the screened covers. thanks to everyone else who ordered it - its much appreciated - ill post the october shows once I have everything confirmed so people down in so cal can come out free lindsay, cp / glaciers
  23. @sharkticon - yes, we will do a portland seattle thing at some point. hard to juggle work, family and babies though. we got offered a spot at some filter magazine festival in LA so we are doing a few shows around that. but yeah, portland and seattle is on the list. we have a whole new slew of new songs @smailtronic - thanks. enjoy. I should also add that the vinyl is TEN DOLLARS. that's half the price of most records nowadays. We aren't really making a dime on this, we just wanted to put out a great sounding and great looking record, so yeah, enjoy.
  24. we have a handful left on blue if anyone still wants one, then we will probably do a clear vinyl pressing. we will have new tshirt designs soon too. we are playing some west coast shows in october down to la if anyone is interested, before we start recording album number 2. http://glaciers.bigcartel.com/product/glaciers-and-the-sea-won-the-battle-12-lp new songs are coming together very nicely - way heavier and denser than the last one, more effects and different tunings. should be quite a ride.
