  1. I've got some cool ideas, and Photoshop, but how are you guys going about doing your splatter mock-ups? Are you finding one on the internet and then just changing the color? I've tried creating one myself and can't seem to pull it off.

I just changed the color of one of the mockups posted earlier using the Hue and Saturation sliders.  Replace Color worked a little bit too.

  2. Does the cover art look a little blurry to anyone else?  Like they just took the CD cover and blew it up.  Kinda lame, but I'm stoked to have this, and am keeping my fingers crossed Hang-Ups is in the pipeline.

Yeah, just got mine and the cover and insert look low resolution, as if the CD cover art was just scanned in and enlarged in Photoshop or something.  Strangely, the back cover does not look like this.

I have also noticed this on my copy of Toadies "Rubbernuck" put out by MOV.  Bummer.

  3. This isn't so much news, but I opened a discussion with Veritas Vinyl about the possibility of putting out Slick Shoes "Burn Out" on vinyl, and there seemed to be some interest.  So, I made sure to pass along the link to this thread and I know that they've had a look.

Veritas released the first two Craig's Brother albums last year (another Tooth & Nail punk band from the same time period).  I just got my copies of Homecoming and Lost at Sea yesterday.  I am impressed, they really did a nice job with these.  They're hand numbered and with a few different colour options for each record.

Anyways, just thought I'd throw this out there...
