Went to three stores across the weekend. Here's the haul: The Idle Race Bollywood Psychedelia Spoon Joy Division Pink Panther July Yardbirds Both Zombies records Hamilton Leithauser, Link Wray, The Litter 7" Space Project 7" set Plus a crapload of normal records. Damn I'm broke.

It does from a conceptual and design standpoint. But I think the music lends itself to a longer format. Just when you're zoning out, you have to flip.
-
I would have bought the 12" if they'd had it. The music makes a lot more sense in that format. Both are sold out on bullmoose now.

Yeah, the box is very flimsy. The top and bottom are already creased from doing nothing more than sitting on my table. It's a bummer as I really like music and I think it's mastered well. Hopefully they will get back to me and replace the two that are the worst off. If the stuff weren't audible, I wouldn't care...

Anybody else pick up the Space Project 7" set? Great music but my set has a ton of issues. A few are warped. Several have these pits or dimples in the vinyl, one has an audible tick through most of the song. I emailed lefse so we'll see what happens, but I'm just wondering if this was across the run or just me?

PO: Cloud Nothings-Here and Nowhere Else
wildstar replied to kamalatapes's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Picked this up at Amoeba earlier in the week but side two had some nasty non-fill. Thankfully Carpark is replacing it. It's definitely not mastered as hot as what I've streamed through spotify, and sounds perhaps a little mushy, but please overall. -
2014 Record Store Day - April 19
wildstar replied to gmoney's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Smaller runs of anything (especially printed matter and vinyl) where setup is involved are labor intensive and expensive. What I'd hope is that we get runs greater than 500 out of it. For many of these releases I'm sure there's enough demand for 1000-2000. Why not please listeners with a little more availability? -

Hot Topic with Vinyl in Massachusetts

I wouldn't waste the time in Hot Topic. Amoeba is amazing and will eat your day from under your feet.- 25 replies

I'm pretty psyched about this too, especially if it's in the same league as STWHA.

repress for The World is a Beautiful Place?

Don't be a jerk. I value my local shops and I'm lucky enough to have many around. I'd much rather support them than amazon. -
repress for The World is a Beautiful Place?

Thanks. I'm not big on buying music from Amazon and would rather buy direct from the label, band, or local shop.
